IT'S LIKELY: Bronny James is 18 and short (about 6'1/2" barefoot) so his size+skills won't make him a real nba player

For a bad team going nowhere, it's a brilliant move. You instantly sell out every game and move tons of jerseys and get on TV more than any other team. It's a cash feast if you don't care about winning, and I'd say roughly half of the owners don't really care about winning as the top priority. I mean, you'd pretty much have your own ESPN 24-hour channel.

If you're not a switchable 6'8" three point shooter you might as well be a ball boy in Today's League

Yeah I mean thank god Marcus smart, Brunson, Curry,Trae, Beal, lillard, Kyrie, ish smith, kemba, it, cp3, Lowery all 6’8” or they would never have made the league

Bronny looks like the average D1 prospect, good but nothing even close to his dads hype.

A team will definitely sign him though, whether it be through the draft or via free agency signing.

since when does being 6'3'' barefoot automatically disqualifiy one from being an NBA player? if he's got the level of talent needed to perform in that stage he'll be just fine, like hundreds of other players of similar height.

I completely disagree. You act like he has to be a lottery pick. Most 2nd round picks don't make it and a lot of teams trade theirs for cash. You don't think a team like the Wizards would give a 2nd round pick to basically get lebron

Id say Bronny projects to at the very least be a GP2 level prospect.

How the heck did you come to that conclusion? GP2 is super legit. I don't see bronny getting anywhere close to that level

You're right. There has never been a NBA player as short as 6'3 before. He clearly has no chance to ever make the NBA at such a miniscule height.

This is Lebron's fault. Don't talk about how much you want to play in the NBA with your kid while, on the other hand, you go have a kid with a short woman.

If Lebron was serious about having a son in the NBA he should've married a tall female athlete.

Forget his height, who cares about that.

He's not an NBA caliber talent. He's just not good.

If you're a GM and you take this kid in the lottery (sans some insane skill jump from now till whenever) just to get 40yo LeBron for "ticket sales" or whatever other gimmick, you should be fired on the spot.\

If he's more than a late 2nd round flier, I'd be shocked/

If he was under 6 ft I'd agree but he still certainly has a chance, 6'3 isn't big but it's not THAT bad.

The issue is his SKILLS (or lack thereof) he's going to need to be an excellent ballhandler and shooter. He seems solid but not elite at either. If he doesn't make a huge jump in either category OR have his daddy's freak athlete genes kick in to play more along the lines of Westbrook, Rose, Morant then he's looking like an at best bench player. It just sucks to grow up in such a massive shadow where he'll never be appreciated for what he can do as individual.

He’s just not aggressive offensively and a big part of that is because his dad wants him to play that way. He’ll be at best a bench warmer when he plays in the NBA. For those of you questioning whether or not he’ll play in the NBA, LeBron is going to make it happen whether Bronny is good or not. Just watch…
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

As a mid to late 2nd round pick, if it brings Lebron, I'm sure plenty of teams will consider. Good and bad teams.

I'm guessing that you are a Warriors fan with that name. Gary is shoooting 62% from the field with per 36 averages of 15ppg, 7.5ast, 3 stl, while being one of the best defenders in the NBA. Most people don't even think that Bronny will make the league without his dad. I can't believe a Warriors fan would feel this way

Was it unofficial the day before his 17th birthday?

Anyway, he could still grow, but even if he doesn't, he's a fine height for the NBA. The question is, will his game progress? That is what will tell if he's officially not ever going to be a real NBA player (productive)
