I haven't watched more than two of the games where he's played, so hopefully someone else chines in, but I've been impressed how slithery he has looked. He came in with a reputation as having range, and his three ball has been decent, but he's most impressed me with his ability to get to the basket and finish with his arm outstretched to keep the ball away from defenders. For someone who isn't that big and is very skinny, I wasn't sure how he'd do there.

Defense, I couldn't really say. I didn't notice it being terrible, which is good, but I've only seen 30 minutes or so of him play so far, so I withhold judgment.

Again, small sample, but I just looked up his stats and he has had a positive +/- in every game so far, save one where he was neutral in a couple of minutes in a Denver blowout. Denver's bench has been pretty terrible that year, so it will be impressive if it holds up and a real benefit to the team.

Edit: Looking back at the stats, he also only has 3 turnovers in 74 minutes (to go with 11 assists). If he can keep taking care of the ball like that, he will definitely find time in Malone's sometimes rookie-averse rotations. Hopefully Monte Morris is mentoring him in that regard.

Appreciate the response, thank you!

I really like the kid so I'm glad he's playing well. So fun to watch, need to tune in more now that he's a part of the rotation.

Can't freaking wait for Mobley vs Barnes Friday night. The hype and anticipation is killing me.

Cade looks better so far in his 3rd game. 3 ball still not dropping but he hit a nice floater and has been making some nice passes

Still don’t understand why they tried to change his shot

He’s 0-17 from deep in 3 games so far lol

Shot is flat, and mostly long and he shoots the ball from even lower. Dunno.

if he shot isn't falling, why settle so much at this point? Better set up your team mates or shoot the mid range.

I highly doubt Scottie will finish the season with a better percentage from 3 than Cade. Cade is a little flat at the moment but he'll adjust soon enough.

Cades 1/8 at half. 4/30 in 2.5 half games

He’s been solid outside the poor shooting though. 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 turnovers

This is probably a A+ passing game for Cade. I don't see him ever averaging more than 5-6 assist per game with 3-4 turnovers.

Cade has been doing well in passing the ball and playing with more confidence but the 3 looks ugly.

It's time for the Pistons to move on from Cade.

There is valid concerns over Cades long range shot. Shooting must be repeatable and consistent even if there’s flaws to it. I’ve already seen over 5 shots from these past three games that doesn’t even come close to looking like what his shot is. One time he literally yanked it like a kid/youngster would do who can’t actually shoot the ball and wanted it to get in.

The rest of his game is about what I expected but not the form.

It is a worry imo.

Cade looks good, they need to stop letting anyone handle the ball that isn't him.

Cade will be fine. he'll be back in the ROTY race sooner rather than later. Detroit literally has noone but for him to be the man.
