And it wasnt SGA trade where no one knew who SGA was going to be, that trade was very bad the moment it happened. Not like Zu is star, but he was pretty damn good youngster and Muscala was a scrub. I believe those reports that said Clippers laughed when Lakers agreed to that trade, pure incompetence.

In my opinion, Christiano Felicio getting that second contract from the Bulls, probably was the biggest - these managers are legit more stupid than me at basketball - move ever made, but Lakers trading Zubac, at least also ignites that idea.

To be fair, a lot of people thought the SGA trade was bad at the time as well.

For PG13 straight up, yes, but Kawhi only signs if they get PG13, so I don't see how could you fault that trade. Kawhi was just coming from winning the championship.
Anyhow, I just say it is more suspect to act you knew SGA trade was awful, compared to that Muscala trade, that trade needed no hindsight, Zubac was already better and younger and far more promising, Lakers just had no idea what they were doing, and least PG13 trade made sense.

It made sense, but there were people on the SGA bandwagon by that time who loved his game and thought the overall package was too much. Don't blame the clippers for going for it.

The Knicks sent out 5 first round picks for a lesser player in Bridges. Sometimes you have to go for it, but I personally loved SGA and thought they would need him.

Not saying I wouldn't have done it if I was the GM in that spot, but as an outsider, it felt like it would hurt, and it has.

There have been worse trades (just because it doesn't work out doesn't necessarily mean it was a bad move), but this was the one that has set up OKC to be title contenders for as long as the CBA, ownership, and health allows them to be.

We're onto the future. Wiggins has been a lot of drama for Canada Basketball over the duration of his career with his will he or won't he play for Canada for various reasons. I'm glad he's gone for the next window.
