Lamelo Ball has been going absolutely STUPID this season

I'll agree with this. Time will tell. Need more players around him first. He doesn't exactly have generational talent around him like Booker has had.

Naw, we really don’t need Ball. Would just take shots from Franz and Ball. Most magic would tell you the same. Shooters, 6th man are the biggest needs.

That team isn’t scaring anybody. It’s a horribly constructed roster that’s going to need a lot of luck in the draft to turn it around.

Ball and Miller have nothing around them. Their third best player is another scoring guard who’s been injured often. It’s shocking how bad the front court has been. Like worse than Beal/Wall Wizards era

Melo needs a healthy roster I'm already confident he has his running mate with Miller.

I don't know. I just wouldn't pass up on an all nba talent. To each their own.

Nobody is doubting Ball as an all NBA player.
Great NBA teams just aren't constructed by grouping 3 all stars players that doesn't mesh well together.
I don't see Franz Paolo and Ball meshing well together.
Look at the Celtics. Best team in the NBA and they have 2 all NBA players plus a great supporting casts.

As a Magic fan, in 2 games vs the Hornets the Magic should have won by 30+ both times, but Lamelo kept the games at least competitive.

The first game he couldn't keep it together, and this game the Magic's shooting allowed the game to remain close, but there is something very broken with what the Hornets are doing.

I said this before, but Lamelo reminds me of Tracy McGrady with the Magic in 03-04.

That Magic team went 21-61, but McGrady lead the NBA in ppg and was an absolutely unstoppable monster, it didn't lead to wins though. No one would dare call McGrady a negative player even with that bad season though, that's what is going on here with Lamelo.

I agree but Melo likes distributing the ball as much or more than scoring. He just has to do what he does for us right now out of necessity.

Melo scored 40 but that was not winning basketball. It was NBA2k/AAU ball. He definitely a good player and pretty talented but I just don’t know how effective it is. He needs to calm down a bit.

I was watching as a Magic fan. Dude is good but he is erratic with 7 turnovers. And this coming from a guy who likes him and thought they would be a play in team. That team doesn’t look good at all.

I’ve seen him play more under control. This team needs him to create an insane amount of opportunities bc the surrounding players (especially bigs) are capable enough. I think it calms down when he gets a decent big.
