Luka must have wanted out. There is no other plausible explanation to why Dallas would move him for AD or even move him in the first place. Clearly Dallas still wants to win with Kyrie so they got him AD instead of rebuilding. What a gut blow to Mavs fans, this is truly terrible news.

Even if he asked out this is all they could get? The best return is an aging big who's always injured?

I'm asking the same thing man, it's absolute insanity. My initial thoughts.

1. Luka wanted out, and they thought this was the best chance to continue winning.
2. Luka wanted LA, so they took what they could get.
3. Luka's calf is worse than reported and the Mavs are getting off of him?

All I know is Luka or the Mavs had to of been the ones to decide this, as there is no real deal in the league that makes sense. They'd have to settle no matter what.
