The worst part of this run is that we're going to see people change the narrative about Jokic. Like...he played JUST as well in the playoffs last year. He might have had a better season last year. But suddenly because he has NBA players starting with him and not G league allstars, people are going to think he's done something different.

He's a MUCH better passer this year and he's played better defense too. Sure the teammates make up most of the difference, but he's still significantly better this season.

I couldn't more strongly disagree! He's changed nothing this year. He has better players around him to shoot and move off ball.

I agree on the defense bit, but Jokic's passing was always incredible.

His passing was amazing last season too.

Nah he was good on defense last year too. He just hasn't run into Curry and Poole playing out of their minds. Nothing any big man could have done against that.

His regular season and playoff production is exactly the same as last year.

Last year, he had 7.9 APG and 5.8 APG in the playoffs. This year he averaged 9.8 APG in the regular season and 10.2 APG in the playoffs. He was a terrific passer before, but he definitely hit a new level this year. He might have the same scoring production, but he lifts everyone else's game more this year. It's not just better teammates. He's gone from the best passing big man of all-time to literally the best passer period since Magic. It's a marked difference.

A few years ago, I was browsing through YouTube videos during one of those slack-off days at work and coincidentally stumbled upon a highlights video of an overweight, unathletic white European guy tearing apart the superhumanly athletic NBA just by using his brains, vision, and soft touch.

Never watched Basketball before. Knew nothing about the sport. But the Video and the responses to it got me hooked, so I hung in there and became a fan of the Nuggets.

Today they are one game away of making it to the NBA FInals for the first time in franchise history.

What a great journey it has been so far.

Bruh this Nuggets team looks more unstoppable than GS. This is my honest breakdown of this series and watching them:

Everyone can shoot and playmake and defend at a high level. Jokic and Murray are a better combo than Steph and Dray lmao. I always thought they were the future ever since the bubble. The league is f***in lucky Jerami Grant dipped to be the man somewhere. Now this PnR seems a little less unstoppable but the surrounding pieces are greater. Hats off to the Nuggets fans man fr.

To be honest Jerami Grant leaving was the best thing that happened to this team. He is something between MPJ and AG, but not so good in things in which MPJ is great and not so good in things AG is great. This way we maximized with MPJ and AG to fill our needs around Jok and Mal.

Conley is way more complete as a player, but would've cost more imo. I doubt they get Conley/Malik and Vanderbilt, dump Westbrook for 1 pick.

It's a superstar based league, you need at least one to win a championship. Right now the Lakers have none. Maybe LeBron can bounce back from injury next season, maybe AD would play to his potential if he had a close-to-prime LeBron next to him. Regardless, what they have right now is "just" a team with great depth, which is bit of a waste in a superstar based league but they gave it a shot.

From his perspective though, who cares? He’s going to get paid and matter of time indeed if he’a going to get the overpay tag like many others before him. That said, his agent should demand the max available for his talent because, this is indeed going to be his first and last huge payday— either way the Lakers lose and that’s the silver lining in this.
