Why even argue with anyone here? The player disrespects the national anthem while the fans cheer injuries.

To be fair, even I feel invincible whenever I'm visiting Miami, so can't blame the Heat fans. An 8-ball can do that to you.

LOL at the ignorance in this post, you must be like twelve years old

You can't go through life forcibly conforming to etiquette. It's OK to be respectful but you gotta put yourself in Wade's shoes. This is the playoffs, he's 34 not many playoff games left, very important basketball game, basketball is his life, No time to concern yourself with the Canadian Anthem. It not disrespect, it keeping things in perspective.

The way I see it if Wade is not ready and prepared 5 minutes before tip off then any amount of free throws won't help him.

Thought for sure the Raps were gonna cave after that Miami run in the 3rd when JV got injured. Lowry carried us with an amazing 2nd half performance.. finally!

that school teacher mentality
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

But it's true...do you honestly think that those 8 or 10 extra FT made him more prepared and a better player? I personally doubt it.

Man some of you guys are actually trying to defend Wade's actions? Smh. He clearly showed no class or respect by shooting around during the anthem. It's as simple as that. He simply should've done it in the first place.

Wade is a douche, who cares. If this was the american anthem it would be a big deal since americans get stupidly patriotic about their anthem. The american anthem is garbage anyways, I mute it every time it comes on.

This series is looking pretty bad for Miami. I feel like losing Whiteside is huge. On the postgame show they were saying JV is day to day, so if hes out Toronto might be screwed too. Toronto in 7.

Raptor fans crying about national anthems. Then decide to troll heat fans after a loss and want to call people classless. The irony. Like another poster said true realgm raptor fans know never get to high after a win or to low after a loss.

We get the win and you guys want to go back and forth about Wade and the national anthem. I feel like most are just trolling or finding a reason to be upset.

Yeah, if Corey Joseph was shooting during the American anthem, it would be a thread on the GB right now.

I don't care that much, but it would definitely be a big deal if it was reversed.

It's still not clear to me why we need to sing national anthems before every sports game. But, given we do, it's just basic respect.

It's a real shame with Whiteside and JV getting hurt. The series becomes tougher to call now, but the Raptors showed they are the better team despite STILL not getting over the nerves. I think they've progressed far enough to know they are better. Miami needs Whiteside back and Val out or hurting and ineffective to have a chance.

No one is crying about the national anthem. Wade broke an NBA rule and in the process disrespected the game and both teams...that's the issue!

Problem with Demar is that he has no one in his ear. Lowry has Jay Wright and Billups giving him advice.

I have no clue who Derozan looks to for mentorship - I don't think anyone. I can't imagine him and Tim Floyd have stayed in contact.

Disgusting.

Having went to several Canadian sporting events that will almost always play both anthems, the last thing on my mind is to not pay full respect to both anthems.

What does the Canadian Anthem represent? And why should Wade care? You can feign disgust all you want but if you want to be honest with yourself, all of the players who stood there quietly had everything but respect for Canada on their minds.

You just want to see them ACT like they respect it? Your life is a lie.
