Hawks have the best fans. That said, get well soon Giannis!

So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

The way Giannis got hurt reminded me of those early Andrew Bynum injuries.

Hopefully Middleton and Holiday step up, but I really don't trust Bud for creating a coherent offensive scheme now.

Guessing now Suns/Hawks Finals. Who would have imagined that at the start of the season?

Phoenix looking good for the title, IMO. I won't count out the Hawks, though, if Trae heals up.

Don't want to give up on the Hawks, but Giannis is so central to everything they do not sure the team can recover from that. And I don't think the Clips have the bodies/endurance to take 2 more games from the Suns.

I'm not overlooking the Bucks, but I don't see why everyone is crowning the Sun's in a Hawks/Suns matchup. The Suns have yet to beat a healthy team in these playoffs. I think folks are going to be surprised, yet again, if Trae, Bogie and Cam are all healthy in a Suns vs Hawks series.

Take your homer takes back to the Lakers board. You are just salty because LeBron is washed and can no longer carry a team.

this series is a toss up now. probably give kudos to the Hawks supporting roster. don't think they have a problem scoring - which is something the Bucks will struggle with now, i believe. Hawks win this series now, imo

I don't think it's that easy. Lou Will played out of his mind tonight which means he will probably be ice cold for the rest of the series. I don't think the Trae-less Hawks will look near as good if Lou's shot isn't falling. (I hope I'm wrong though). We need Trae if we are going to advance.

Shouldn't you be hanging around draft and lottery threads. Both teams have tons of diehard supporters.

All of those Bucks in 5 predictions looking crazy. Realgm never gives teams credit, a blind man saw this was going more than 5 games after game 1. I love how this site makes an excuse for anything they don't think is supposed to happen. Hypotheticals and scenarios hold more weight on this site than actually winning lol. Ill love to see the saltiness if the Hawks actually win a title.

I really hope Giannis is OK. Probably the most likeable star player in the league, and the league is so much better with him. I will be rooting for his quick and healthy return, hopefully this is just an ugly scare.

What are the expectations regarding Trae Young's return by the way?

Could he play in the Finals if the Hawks were to win this series?

Stay salty on the sidelines. It's a new era and the Lake Show is set for a rebuild.

But also if Cam and Dunn continue to get minutes the defense will be better also. So they won’t have to score as much hopefully. Oh and keep Solo off the floor LOL. But I think Nate realized starting him is not the best idea.

I'm cautiously optimistic that Trae and Capela will be cleared to play in game five. I'm not sure about Giannis. I hope he's not seriously hurt.

Trae and Giannis injuries had nothing to do with the scheduling of this season. Most of the SooperDooperStar injuries were the same way, just flukes. The fact is the game is played harder than ever with more movement and the most athletic big men in the world.

To me this just shows how exciting and compelling NBA basketball can be if they stop building around SooperDooperStar brands, but I know armchair America is just too lazy to look beyond the celebrity stuff. Nobody here predicted to the Hawks to do what they did, either in this game or the playoffs in general. It's refreshing.

Agreed. Hope it just looked scary but he's ok to return.

Proud of the crowd's reaction, btw. All class.

I really enjoyed watching the Hawks move the ball last night. They all were looking to pass and help each other. That kept them energized on offense and defense.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D
