none of these celtics looked ready for the big moment. it caught up to them and brought them all back to earth. tatum played horrible the last 2-3 games and jaylen had a decent game his last game. all the other guys were not on the same page, missed a lot of defensive assignments, and overachieved until the end. kudos to GSW.

hes a special player for sure, without doubt proved he is much better than tatum and most def a superstar in the nba. Boston needs to build there team around jaylen if they wanna win a title...

I thought the Celtics were an all-time great generational defense.

Dunks and layups are what Giannis does. Did you expect him to be great from three?

What about Butler? The Celtics only won by 4 points in game 7. Miami almost beat them with Butler, Bam and a group of old or undrafted players (I think Herro got hurt?).

Butler wasn't locked defensively overall (because he had some big lows), the other two were.

Their defense was good, but I don't see it as all-time great for the reasons I mentioned. When this season is looked back historically I doubt anyone will say "Hey remember how great the defense was on the Celtics team?".

We can agree to disagree.

first off I want to tip the cap to Boston and their young team, nothing but respect for those guys and they should keep their chins up as their future is bright. I know their fans have to be down right now but I bet they come back stronger next season.

Now to my Warriors. I am amazed that in this era they held this core together for 8 years and they won 4 titles out of 6 appearances. As a fan I could not ask for more and I will never take this FO for granted. Steph, Klay and Draymond as players and personalities really thrive off of each other and Wiggins was a great addition to them at this stage of their careers.

Finally I just want to say: FINALS MVP STEPH CURRY and NBA CHAMPION ANDREW WIGGINS!

C's fan checking in, honestly happy for Curry and the Warriors. They were the better team, an iconic franchise that will be talked about for years and years. if there was any team I'd be ok with beating the C's it'd be the warriors. I'm happy enough as it is for them to reach the finals and play against one of the best player and franchises of all time. It was an uphill battle from the start and u can't ask for a better team than that for the C's to gain experience from.

How is that even a debate?

Kerr was the architect of the Golden State dynasty. He started Draymond, unlocked Curry, set up the whole system.

They were a first round exit before he got there.

There is no other coach in the modern era close to him. Poppovich to me is from the previous era.

In the modern era, I can agree. But there are coaches from previous eras who have arguments. And like I said, so does Kerr. I'm just not 100% convinced it's a sure thing that he's #5.

Holy moly. P-o-p-o-v-i-c-h.

And 2014 is not 'the modern era'? Changing styles of play to suit best players culminating in widely acknowledged as some of the most beautiful team basketball in the most crucial time? Even shot 3s and everything!

Anyway, I don't want to take anything away from Kerr who I'm very fond of and respect greatly, love that he's the next Team USA coach as well. The system GSW have set, and the experience of going to their best tendencies in the biggest moments can only be reached with cores playing this long together. Having lotto seasons in between championships is just the natural turnover given the circumstances. Nice to see the core kept together and have their best strengths come through.

As he should be. Outside of Horford and Robert Williams no one came ready to play.

Everyone thought that KD is the one who will be challenging LBJ for greatness. Not many thought it'll be Curry led GSW.

Congrats to Warriors org and their fanbase. Really enjoy watching your team, fun stuff.
