This really isn't the issue. Good choice or bad choice is moot at this point, it is the fact that he chose Dallas and when he decided to go back on his word he didn't let Dallas know. Shady and really, really unprofessional.
I can understand your bitterness as a fan, but that's what a verbal deal is. It is not a binding agreement.
Yes, it is an agreement made in good faith, but again, not binding.
In the end, Jordan made the right basketball choice, even if in bad faith. Dallas wouldn't want a player who really didn't want to be there anyway.

I agree. Signing with Dallas never made sense from a basketball angle. I just assumed he wanted to be closer to home.
Depending on the point guard position and bench, they would have been ok but not really a contender.
In the end, this is probably good for Dallas.
