So I’m trying to watch cricket while I wait for more basketball and I don’t get it. They get runs every time they foul a ball off and it seems like it’s literally impossible to make an out. This is brutal.

Don't forget that 1 game takes about a week to finish.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

There are different game lengths, I think you are referring to a "test match" which is a 5 day match, but there are shorter formats too

Well finally have decided, like in the Latvia game it was tough to get the +10 line as i thought the Germans had a really good shot of blowing them out. But thanks to Schroder that was an easy cover. Time to trust Luka and Slovenia (+8.5), i think they lose this game but will be a close one.

Cricket update: Apparently, now that Bangladesh has hit into 2 outs in the last hour, they're completely **** and have no chance of winning even though I don't think Pakistan has batted yet. I could be wrong on that though. Time to put on the basketball pre-game show.

I really think Canada's winning this whole tournament. I even like them against the USA.

Little Nathan wrote:Still feels weird to watch a German national team that actually looks like it can compete with everybody in this tournament. I can't really get my hopes up too much because I'm just so used to the national team being absolutely useless, but it's clear that this team is the best squad Germany has had in a long time (maybe ever).

Latvia is a tough team to beat, though. They have played beautiful basketball so far.

I actually like think this Germany team is legit and somewhat underrated. They have a legit and young PG in Dennis, they have their perimeter scorer in Franz, agitator in Mo Wag and even a decent center in Theis.

Solid squad IMO.

I went a little nuts this game. I have 3K on Canada altogether. Like a third of that is pro-SGA and anti-Luka props though.

Congrats Latvia on an amazing run. Latvia had an insane run considering all the buzz was about how one of Spain, France, and Canada wasn't going to make the QFs. They knocked off France, they knocked off Spain, and they were one buzzer beater away from knocking off eventual medal contender Germany.

Also, played Canada way closer than the score suggests. Hope you guys make the Olympics.

RJ Barrett is awful. Everytime he touches the ball I cringe
