One thing about the Celtics shooting..... besides Tatum not shooting well.... Grant Williams was pretty bad as well.

So there is a chance his 3 point shooting can replace White or Horford's 3 point barrage.

Tatum, Smart, Green, White, Horford, all found ways to be impactful by reading the game as it went on, making crucial adjustments and playing winning basketball. So many people want to give endless praise to the Kevin Durant and the Kyrie Irving’s of the game. THESE are the players who deserve that praise. Guys like Irving and Durant play to score. These guys play to win. Having guys like that is how the warriors rose to prominence in 2015, and tonight, we’re witnessing it now with Boston.

Yeah because Irving and Durant haven't won Championships

Youre acting like these Celtics have something they don't cause they won one game. What a joke.

It will balance out. They'll shoot worse and he'll shoot better. Given that they won by 12 they have some room to work with.

The warriors also shot 42% from three, comfortably above their average of 38%.

Warriors will take Tatum playing better on high volume than role players shooting 65% on nearly 30 3’s. Warriors shooting was far closer to “normal” than the Celtics.

Im not sure you understand what you are saying or asking for. Tatum attacking and scoring will also be getting to the free throw line and fouling out people.

Atleast Tatum was moving the ball around and got 13 assists.

Curry was really forcing it after the first. Didn't seem him dance around too much in the fourth.

I don't think Tstum was particularly impressive as a playmaker outside of the first. Easier to rack up assists when your teammates shoot 20/36 from deep. Celtics run in the 4th started with little involvement from tatum

Huh? Why do you think our guys were open?

white had a big game, but horford vs draymond is the key matchup. If Al continues winning this battle it will be a short series, draymond is the heart of the warriors

Looney was absolutely cooking Al/Rob in the first half though leading to multiple 3's from GSW.
Al did shoot the 3 well all game tho!

He played decent defence, shot terribly, and got assists because his team mates shot lights out from 3. Lets not act like he had a great game.

He had a decent game. I mean I don't think anyone is criticising him for how he played but rather his poor shooting tonight. It's a fair criticism and at the same time it's a fair to have concern for the Warriors considering the game ended the way it did with Tatum shooting this poorly.

He shot poorly and refused to abuse smaller defenders. Been crowing about it for years now. Yes he was excellent every else though.

This is why I wanted this matchup, it was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Good offense, good defense, a reasonably close game up until 6 minutes to play and then an unlikely finish

I don't think either of these teams is going to be overly phased by prospect of winning on the road, so I'm not too worried for the Warriors dropping this game, however there are definitely some adjustments they need to make.

With Curry going off early, I had a feeling the other Warriors were going to get complacent and rely on him to bail them out if things got tough and unfortunately for Curry that isn't always a strength of his game, especially against such a good defensive team like Boston.

I'm very happy for White, Brown and Horford, big fan of all 3 and they all stepped up while Tatum was MIA. That was the difference because other than Looney doing a lot of the little things, there was very little support for Curry and even Looney was just 1-4, but that's not his job.

They need a much better production from Poole if they want game 2 and Green needs to stop shooting 3's, I don't care if you're open, I'll take a contested 3 by Klay or Steph with 2 defenders hanging off them over a wide open 3 by Draymond any day. We're talking about a guy who is under 30% on 3's each of the last 4 season taking 4 threes in an NBA finals game while going 0-3 at the line and 2-12 from the field...but he wants to stand there and flex when he makes a layup

I like how the refs didn't decide the outcome, for 40 minutes the Warriors looked like the better team and deserved to win. For the last 8 minutes the Celtics outplayed them and deserved the win with a huge run that saw the Warriors fold.

Looking forward to game 2, I predicted a 7 game series with GS winning on their floor to make up for their previous game 7 finals choke and I'm sticking with that prediction

I know exactly what I’m saying and I still stand by it. I will take Tatum playing good and shooting more FT’s than 65% shooting on 26 3’s from role players and J Brown having a decent game. Especially, the 4th.

I think GSW seem to tire in the 4th quarter... Celtics weren't open because of some amazing playmaking from Tatum, and GSW focusing everything on him. Boston just shots lights out in the 4th whether open or not.

I could see Looney getting benched and minutes reduced this series. Can’t let Al hit these shots

Credit to Rob Williams as well. Man is playing on one leg. Had some awful defensive lapses in the first half along with start of the third quarter. Adjusted nicely on that curry pick and roll. Blocked one of his 3’s and then one of his layups.
