That should shut up the board though, with two American teams in the final, where will our Euro friends go? LOL

Slovenia is just a 3point bot. We've seen this story play out before: worse team advances because they hit 3s over better team, and then get blown out by 30 points when they play team USA because they come back to reality and can't hit 3s like they could.

I hope Canada wins. It'll be a more competitive matchup in the finals against Team USA.

Assuming Canada survives Serbia of course, which is not a sure thing. But yeah i think Slovenia will struggle vs the US relative to Canada.

Luka's team still last in rim protection even with Powell on the other team. Commentators said Slovenia averages a block per game, last of final 8 teams.

I think Canada can pull this out. Can Slovenia keep shooting as well as they are from 3? They've taken more shots from 3 then 2, and are hitting it a higher rate from outside lol. 10/17 from 3, 7/16 from inside the line

Yeah I hate when that type of thing happens. It's part of the game now that you can get hot from 3 and steal a win, but it often sets up disappointing matchups in tournaments because when shooting cools off some teams just don't have the talent to make it competitive.

Heh yeah, we have nothing on center or wing positions really. Cancar and Muric got hurt before the tournament, those 2 could have been used on defense.

RJ the **** jinx. Ends the first half with a missed layup and starts the second with another.

Is there a player with a more laboured lift? Guy has lead butt.

Short of having OG Anunoby, I don't think you can do better defensively against Doncic than Brooks and Dort.

Because you’re actually allowed to play defense in FIBA. Not in the NBA and especially not against LeBron James. LOL

If we had Wiggins available that would be crazy amount of defense from the wings. Hope he's available for Olympics

-20 in a 2 point win, while playing 3/4 of the game(30 mins) is also ridiculous,
so is ending the game with a -10 EFF(basically if you have a 0/0/0/0 game stats wise you're still a zero, while getting any stats gets you to the + already.... to get to -10 means you had to be insanely bad).

-20 playing 3/4 of the game and Germany still winning… Dennis had been playing really well all tournament though but that was something else. The SF game should be a good one though as I don’t see Schroeder playing like this again or anywhere near as bad.

I also can’t remember a FIBA game with this type of +/- wildness. In the NBA, we’ve seen some in which a player is a + on court and the team fall apart without him.
