GS messed up royally. They could've had Drummond AND Monroe up front, with Curry/Klay in the backcourt. That could've been a potential dynasty.

I think out here in Warriorland we're generally satisfied with our picks. Don't pretend that if we had drafted Monroe that we would even have had a chance to draft Drummond. Role call Jazz fans...!

I'd be willing to bet Barnes has a greater career than Drummond. Besides, the wins don't lie!

Feeling pretty fat and content at the moment.

Team records this year aren't really that relevant. Barnes I think is going to have at the very LEAST a solid career, so no reason to dislike the pick I agree. I think Drummond has best in the league potential for his position though, something Barnes likely won't come close to. Now yes, that is in part because the SF position is so much more amazing than the current C position, but Drummond has the potential to be a monster.

Mr Peanut wrote:Frank is getting more comfortable with giving Drummond increased minutes and he is looking fantastic out there:

31 min, 15 points on 6-8 shooting, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks.

The Pistons look like a different team when he is on the floor. The kid is only 19(!) and is going to be an absolute beast in his prime. Still struggle to see how he fell to 9 in the draft.

Is he getting more touches? Jonas is also getting more faith from Casey, but the guy is still getting no plays ran for him even though he's been a viable option for whatever stupid offense Casey wants to run.

Even Lawrence Frank has gotten Drummond more involved in the offense.

Nando de Colo: 17:09 minutes, 7 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3P), 1 rebound, 2 assists (and a ton of hockey assists), 1 steal, 1 block, +17.

Really living up to the mini-Manu moniker

Drummond is still a clean-up guy, scores off defensive breakdowns and offensive rebounds. However, he's very good at it.

So... Tyson Chandler minus the free throw shooting?

He's not nearly as complete of a defensive player as Tyson yet. Often times he over helps, but that comes with experience and understanding the scouting reports. And despite the FT% I would said that at 19 years old Drummond has a softer touch than Tyson. He's definitely still forcing things on both sides of the ball, but still this production is more than was expected so early in his career.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have finally found their shooting stroke, so expect Harrison Barnes' numbers to be down for a while.

As a Warriors fan, I'm not mad. I wanna see how long Curry can keep his 20/10 streak alive and it's also refreshing to finally see Klay get his shot back after such a bad early season shooting slump (He made 5 threes and scored 19 points in the 3rd quarter of the Warriors' game last night).

Kind of hard for Harrison to have big scoring nights when there are two other guys scoring 20+ points each. Hopefully the energy Barnes will save on offense will be put to use to play aggressive defense.

If we drafted Monroe, we'd probably still have Ellis. I'm pretty happy not to have him.

Tyson Chandler? Other then tall i dont get it?

Drummond is so much thicker then Chandler its scary. Another thing, Chandler has never veen a great shot blocker as where Andre already is a more then solid one. Andre’s ceiling is way way way way higher then chandlers, he has aways to go though.

Drummond looks good. He definitely has the athleticism and physical tools, let's hope he works hard and doesn't end up like the countless athletic freaks who don't improve.

1.) don't approve of goldtop baiting, but no one in warriorland was satisfied with Udoh. I think Barnes was the right pick being that you warriors had Bogut and lee and invested quite a bit into both. Additionally Barnes is a great prospect, i don't think when you look at the greatest SF of all time, Barnes is going to be in the discussion, however i can definitely see Drummond as a center being there if he figures it out.

Bargnani is a liability and JV takes the fall for it! Apparently he's hitting the bench starting next game...

I have an inkling the Raptors are being horrible on purpose just so OKC gets a lottery pick.
