I never saw Magic play live, so take that into consideration. Jokic is the greatest passer I have personally seen play.

Jokic is unbelievable. Stats of 23-15-11. Not many times you get to see a stat like that from a big man. Wish I could've watched the game.

I remember the nuggets were wanting to make a pitch to lebron this summer. I wonder how that would have looked if Bron was playing with these guys.

Joker is clearly the best big man passer of all time. Of the best big passers he's the least reliant on his post game being dominant and beating a double. Webber/KG has claim to this as well. Tonight he pushed his butt into a defender to create space and made a lane for a touch pass. I'm explaining it terribly because I've never seen a center do the move. I seen PG seal off with a live dribble but never a center off a pick and roll seal off and make a give and go touch pass. He's next level a tier that can't be matched. If Euro fans want the next Dirk it's Joker without question. Everyone else is below him and will not match. Even my KP(athletic Dirk clone).

A legend is being extremely overrated but understandable.

Over Paul, Nash, Kidd, Rondo, Deron, Miller, Simmons etc.? Wow high praise. I think at the position an argument can be made its more impactful. Most playmakers win and having a playmaker at the five spot in a high skill league means you could have five passers on the floor at all times. But wow best passer since Magic.

He doesn't have speed on his side like a lot of those guys you named, his passing is all because of how he reads the floor which is really incredible to be honest. I wouldn't call him the best passer ever, but considering how he's doing it you can make a case for him being as good a passer as any of the best PG passers that have played, he doesn't pass off a pick he just sees passing lanes everywhere.

I don't think it's fair to say someone has better vision because they are slower. Looking at Indy driver decision making at high speeds is their lives. I also wouldn't say they are better because they have to move around the court to find angles instead of patiently waiting for developments to happen around them never asked to consistently create a shot for others.

Sabonis and Vlade were flashier and more pleasing to the eye.

Jokic looks clumsy out there making passes. Most of his spectacular passes seem like they happen more from sheer luck than anything else.

Still, his positioning and awareness cannot be denied.

In this era with so many floor spacers and the high screen being used so much the passing lanes for a driver and where the help is coming from is a lot more obvious than what Jokic is doing hitting shooters from the post or finding passing lanes for cutters. There have been crappy guards that averaged a lot of assists per game, some guys you never heard of like Gary Grant averaged 10.0apg, that doesn't make them better passers than Jokic. The pass he had tonight was out of this world

Some of those guys are amazing floor generals (especially the first two). But Jokic's ability to see the entire floor at all times and ability to make every pass is just on a different level than I've ever personally seen.

Yeah and I guess most of Curry's threes fall in due to sheer luck as well.

I wuold pick him over all of these players besides nash (he was really insane both in court vision and floor general).
Btw just think about a p&r nash-jokic how many options they wuold open for their team? Wuold be an unstoppable duo.

well if he shoots 50%, half the time it goes in, half the time it doesn't.

Teodosic is no Nash, but that Serbian team can be sick at passing with Teo, Bogdanovic, Bjelica and Jokic starting.

If it was from sheer luck he would be turning the ball over quite a bit more.

Saying Vlade was a flashier passer just proves that you have not watched Jokic, especially if you think his passes are sheer luck.

I think Sabonis stands out more based on the eye test. What Jokic is doing at his size is nuts, but Sabonis was 7'3 and about four feet wide but had some touch passes that were outrageous.

Maybe Sabas would be #1 big man passer if he came over earlier and had a higher usage rate, but at this point its hard to arge that Jokic is anything but the best ever. And any argument against that should be null after he does this for a few more seasons.

Look at the play at 0:48. I had to double-check at least 5 times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

I love how he looks so casual with his passing yet it's so effective and on point. Just beautiful to watch.
