The NBA said that several times throughout the bubble, people have called the "snitch hotline" (which is how the NBA learned of the alleged incident) on the Rockets, but the NBA repeatedly believed the allegations to be unfounded. This was the first time the NBA took action on an allegation, in spite of the tenuous, circumstantial evidence.

4. The NBA has done an atrocious job of releasing information about the story, especially in light of the fact that House has a wife and children who may be in school.

I seriously doubt the league would take action without substantial evidence and the bolded part backs it up imo. I'm sure they've gotten multiple reports on the "snitch hotline" and for them to take action on this one means they've found sufficient reason to do so. The conspiracy theory that this was done to ensure the Lakers would advance or something like that is crazy to me bacause the Lakers were winning their series with or without House on the Rockets lineup.

I’m guessing you guys believe that women are innocent, delicate flowers that always tell the truth, are always faithful & would never be capable of doing wrong. I’d bet that women cheat just as much, if not more than the men do. Anybody who’s been around many women platonically knows this.

These women have an open schedule, a paid for house & are typically on the really good looking side. Combine that with the fact that their husbands/boyfriends are on the road 6+ months out of the year. Trust me guys, they get “lonely” & they WILL seek attention.

Military folks get cheated on all the time because they’re away. Even normal guys who are at home on a daily get cheated on. I know quite a few. Athletes & NBA guys are prime cheating candidates because they have set schedules & the wives/girlfriends know EXACTLY when he will & won’t be there.

Don’t take it from me, if any of you have wives or significant others, take a look at their group chat with their girlfriends sometime. You’ll get all the truth you need in there. According to the podcast, I repeat, the league stated specifically that their only evidence was that House opened his door near the time the woman was known to enter the hotel. This is backed up by the league's assertion that it was taking precautionary measures for the safety of everyone involved. This was their justification for such a harsh penalty based on such flimsy evidence.

Also, I never stated that anything was done to help the Lakers. I merely stated that LeBron was possibly aware of the punishment before the Rockets were, and well before any journalists were.
