Which "freedoms" are those?

He doesn’t get there is occupational safety and employers aren’t obligated to cater to you when choosing not to follow the rules. Irving doesn’t have to take the vaccine, that’s his freedom. Not covered under said freedoms is an at-will employer to deal with it.

The pandemic is over but they want to stretch it out as long as possible. So mask up and vaccinate even though there is literally nothing to fear.

But if you are an away team, your player doesn’t have to be vaccinated. What is it that they are trying to achieve? If this was really about public health, you would have one set of rules for everyone. Is Kyrie more contagious than Beal? Both are not vaccinated. You allow one to play in Barclays and not the other. The whole thing is absurd

Yah I don’t get why away players that are unvaccinated can play but home players can’t. What’s the logic in that ?

Logic doesn't exist in these decisions.

This law was struck down by the Supreme Court in 1990.

I can't believe you actually thought it was still illegal to step on a flag.

If you says so, but that was done in 1905 so you never had this freedom unless you're nearing your 120th birthday....

And Rosa parks was the only person to refuse to get out of her seat. "every one else is doing it" is no excuse to remove someones freedom of choice

Amazing move by the Nets, outside of Kyrie's personal feelings, they can't just let a guy walk all over them and control his situation however he pleases. It makes that front office look weak. I get we're in the player empowerment era, but Kyrie has a tendency to grab a franchise by the balls and squeeze until he gets his way.

Outside of that garbage, a team with Harden and KD already has enough offensive firepower to get the job done. Not having Kyrie there will open opportunities for Harris, Griffin, Millsap, Aldridge, and Brown to average a few extra PPG. Yeah it sucks having all that wasted cap space, but they have the man power to accommodate for his loss, even if that loss is as huge as Kyrie Irving.

The Supreme Court held that the First Amendment protects the right to desecrate the American flag as a form of symbolic protest.

See:
Spence v. Washington (1974)
Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989)
United States v. Eichman, 496 U.S. 310 (1990)

Nope, there is just a pandemic that has killed 1 in 500 americans to this point, with deaths and hospitalizations coming almost exclusively (over 95 percent) from the unvaccinated. Youre free to take your stand, against a vaccine during a pandemic, despite the fact that vaccine mandates have been around forever for things like enrolling in a school or going to college. People like Kyrie and other anti vaxers, for this one vaccine, just may lose their ability to work or go places in society. You arent free to keep this virus and deaths going for others, we need to take stepa to end this. Too bad, enjoy!

This is not how rationale human beings think. If Kyrie wanted to I’m sure the NBA and Nets would have Fauci call him personally to answer all his questions. If it’s gotten to the point where your teammates have to go to chairman and governor because you’re a dip ****, then it’s getting ridiculous.

You can't just "crack down" on misinformation. It's up for people to not be an idiot like Kyrie and figure things out for themselves.

Well there needs to be a national (and frankly global) campaign to aggressively attack misinformation and disinformation. It’s more than just people being idiots and figuring things out, it’s the fact that social media and algorithms are radicalizing people and in some cases turning them violent. Obviously Kyrie is not going to become some violent antivaxxer but it shows just how irrational people are becoming. Kyrie is not a stupid person and he has access to resources most people don’t have yet here he is acting irrationally.

National flags and all of the authoritarian, conformist nationalism that comes with them shouldn't exist in a "free" society
