Unless you are Chris Paul, you are probably always going to have a good bit of turnovers as a ball handler.

I think efficiency will be okay. Thinking 55% TS in a year or 2

That's a pretty reasonable list, although I might have Giddey a bit higher.

Also, just speaks to the quality of the draft class that you haven't even mentioned Duarte and Ayo yet, who both look poised to have solid, long-term careers in the league.

I'd put Herbert Jones in there. Besides that it would not shock me if Isaiah Jackson surfaces the top 10 in a 2027 redraft.

The cool thing is I doubt any of the teams who picked in at least the top 8 have a good reason to heavily regret their pick after most of the first year, and lots of great value picks lower down: Duarte (13), Moody (14), Kispert (15), Sengun (16), Grimes (25), Hyland (26), Jones (35), Dosunmu (38). And even more guys who could pan out later like Garuba, Thomas, Springer, Williams, and others.

Just an incredible draft that will be stocking the league with talent for the next 15 years.

Duarte is a good player but he's also 24. For reference, he's 1 year older than Luka Doncic. I don't think Duarte would go top 10 in a redraft.

Herb Jones (also old for a rookie), Ziaire Williams, Ayo are good shouts to potentially break into that top 10.

What a beast...
All against strong defenders too: Poeltl, Murray, Vassell, Johnson

Did the same against Mobley who's also a terrific defender the other day:

Not surprising. Of the top picks, only Scottie (and maybe Suggs?) have the body to bang and make through contact right now. Although Green is surprisingly good at it for a skinny fella. Cade, Mobley, Wagner, Giddey… they need to get stronger. And they will.

EDIT: forgot Kuminga. He can finish already, too.

Cade manages to slow the game down in the 4th quarter and score points 1 on 1 or off a pick when teams are trying to play lock down defense.

That is a skill he already has at 20 with his average athleticism and at 52 games (he was out a few times). I expect that skill to really blossom in a few years, especially as the rest of the team's talent increases and he gets better shooters around him at all positions.

Cade has played his whole 52 games without a shooter at the SG position. Put even Seth Curry there and he would look like a genius level bbiq player. He had Killian Hayes who is bottom 5 in the league TS% and Corey Joseph who is fine but come on man, is Corey Joseph really a starting SG?

-- High bbiq
-- Making teammates better
-- Maturity at his game/playing already like veteran
-- Under most difficult circumstances because his team is not good ( I really hope for a bright future because Detroit is a basketball city
-- Clutch plays
-- Size
-- Good defender, not as good as Mobley of course
-- Hustling
-- Humility

I can't articulate my arguments better because English is not my native language but my favourite rookie is Cade. I really like this guy.
Certainly there are a lot of great rookie players this year, Mobley/Barnes/Wagner/Giddey/Kuminga/Green/Suggs and others.

Usually happen that lots of the 'great value' guys will look like nothing in a few years, and guys who were nothing but embarrassing as rooks will emerge in years 2-3. The top guys often remain the same for years, but that second and third tier shifts a lot, and the rooks who look good now are often just the guys a little ahead of their development curve or else just getting good opportunity now.

Who gets the 5th spot? Duarte? Giddey? Whoever misses has got to take the crown for best ‘second team rookie’ in a long time

The all rookie second team will be competitive too

Giddey or Duarte
Ayo
Green
Herb Jones

Again the last spot here is competitive

Suggs? Mitchell? Sengun?

I actually think Kuminga may deserve to get a spot on the 2nd team. His production is now on par with a lot of those guys battling for 2nd team, only he's doing it in less minutes and higher efficiency. Has also been pretty good on both ends of the floor (at least on-ball defense, he's late on a lot of help which is normal for a rook). Highest WS/48 for anyone over 15mpg, highest PPG/36 out of all rookies. For a raw 19 year old, he's been really impressive in terms of constantly getting better this year.

Another good option for sure. The per minute stats are tough because hes given less responsibilities and work load but he looks mighty fine. Think the W's are doing a good job developing him.

Happy that Green is coming around, I do think him and Cade would look a lot better around quality players and the same for Giddey. He should be averaging close to 10 assists if there was a good wing at OKC.

The only one I’m worried about is Suggs long term but other than that fantastic rookie class all round. Star talent at the top and a lot of value picks later on.

Kuminga with another good game. He should 100% be on the 2nd all rookie team.

These get better after like year 5 but if I was projecting the future based on what we've seen today rather than solely rookie production:

Mobley
Cade
Barnes

Giddey
Wagner
Green
Kuminga

Sengun
Suggs
Ayo

Scary thing is there are about 10 other guys who I still think are darkhorses to crack the top 10 in the future once they develop and get opportunities.
