Ben Simmons would have clearly played, had the series been 2-1..Why risk him down 0-3 in the 1st round with KD probably playing with an undisclosed injury and Kyrie Fasting?
I cant recall any of Shaq, Charles, Reggie playing with a back injury

Any more ridiculous excuses you can come up with for Brooklyn getting smashed in the mouth? Jesus christ your post is as soft as Simmons.

I already see his problem: He has no gaming chair. That's a back injury just waiting to happen. With all that money and free time to research, you'd think he would have solved that riddle by now.

it must be tough to be a nets fan and have to root for guys like ben and kyrie just because they wear your teams colors.

So there's Woj in the wiretap saying Nets are surprised and disappointed and Windy saying Nets are exasperated. Some strong media signalling to his camp. If he wants to recover a semblance of respect (if that matters to him) then at some point he will have to do things differently than what's been done. This isn't making Klutch come off well either. They have to be aware of that.

Is his camp still trying to finesse him to LA? Because if so, this is only the beginning of the next chapter to that story.

If the Nets somehow win tonight are we going to have to go through the whole thing again for Game 5?

easily the least likeable team of my lifetime for basketball related reasons

Kyrie: Misses 3/4 of the season because he refuses to take a shot.
Ben: Everything about him
Durant: approaches a team sport with a 1-1 attitude.

Why do anything during adversity? Why not just quit at halftime if a team is down by 30 points? He literally has a back soreness and is refusing to play in the playoffs. Kick him out of the league

The funny thing about the Ben / COD jokes is that he literally is outrageously good.

He could go competitive if he really wanted to.

Imagine fighting a war and your side is getting pummeled. Your compatriots are dropping like flies. However, you know there is hope because you were told a large battalion of reinforcements is coming. Finally, when it looks like all is lost, you see the reinforcements marching over the hill. You take out your telescope and you see General Simmons. He has his own telescope out surveying the scene and all the dead bodies on your side. You start frantically waving him over. You can still win this war yet! Wait, General Simmons? General Simmons? Where are you taking the reinforcements? You're marching in the wrong direction! You look back at the battleground with utter despair. You've been abandoned by a coward. Looking left and right at your soldiers, you run into the hopeless situation knowing full well you'll succumb to the enemy but you do it anyway because you are honor-bound to protect your people. Unlike General Simmons.

General Simmons blinks, and when he opens his eyes he's back in his bedroom at his Brooklyn apartment rubbing his face while the TV sits on the pause screen of CoD Black Ops 3's storymode. Was it all just a fever-dream?

With all that time to focus on it, how could he not be? It's not like he's been working on his shooting on anything other than a console.

Ben literally should have played like two minutes, made a pass to Durant or Irving that lead to a bucket, limped his way back to the bench, and would have gotten so much respect from everyone in game 3.

I mean look at Blake Griffin, whose best days are behind him. He showed a ton of heart out there even in his limited minutes in game 3. Now if Ben literally can't move, then he can't play. But at this point, you can't expect anyone in the playoffs to be playing pain-free. They all went through an 82-game season with the bumps and bruises and are all toughing it out, so if Ben was at least able to play, he should have played. The fact that he isn't, shows he's weak (again, unless he literally can't).

Character is everything.

You may be the most athletic specimen ever, but if your values conflict with the team/organization/teammates then I couldn't use you.

I can't stand Tom Brady, I hate him a passion, but I respect his character, his work ethic, his will to win.

I saw Kenny Smith on TNT made a good point...everything that Ben Simmons is saying has been about him:
- my contract
- my money
- my career
- my future

My my my my...that is what is wrong with teaching players to be individuals...to not teach values and morals. Allowing players to put themselves above the team, the game, the fans...because now they will put themselves first.

I thought for sure the Nets made out with the Harden-Simmons trade because Harden has poor character traits...but I am thinking that at least Harden will play, even if he has poor body language. But Ben Simmons won't even play just as a competitor.

I can't...I can't fathom not playing for my team when they obviously need you......
I'm so tired of the typical......
