Powell is a huge liability for the Mavs. It would almost be better if they just start Bertans... and keep Kleiber as the bench guy.

Ouch, bad position in the Mavs to be having to now play catch up. No intensity from the Mavs no physical play. Total different demeanor from the beginning of this game.

Hyperbole like this is why so many of us hate today's commentators. You can acknowledge a player's greatness without lying.

Only dude who could give you 50 on a nightly basis was Wilt! :D

So, why does Kidd insist on still starting Powell? Some coaches are too damn stubborn for their own good. It's like Doc starting DJ.

Crazy how Bridges was holding onto his knee one play and then jump the pass the next play. Almost like the dude healed instantly.

Lol, he's such an efficient finisher inside, who cares about dunking. How many times does Jokic dunk? Court awareness though, yes, that's not a strength of his.

The play was bad though

Jokic has touch. Ayton has none. So yeah, if h could shoot looking to dunk wouldn't alays be the objective. But he can't. And he has no post moves either so that's off the table as well.
So dunking should be his priority if he catches it and is a foot away from the rim.

He doesn't have Jokic touch, who does, but it's not possible for him to have no touch, not dunk enough, yet shoot 63% FG averaging 17 ppg. So he's making a high percentage without dunking enough but has no touch? What is he doing to get those non dunk shots in then? Lol

Ayton has no touch? Of all the things I've heard him criticized for, I've never heard that.

Ayton has routinely shown he has a great/soft touch. He's developed a reliable hook shot, push shot, an ok baseline fadeaway, a great jumper.

I do agree he needs to be more aggressive and go up strong with two hands.

You've never had this happen? Not really uncommon.

Came out of half time like they didn’t even speak about anything. Just drank water and chilled until it was time to come back.

Doncic is such a baby. Not sure how anybody can root for this guy unless you are a Mavs fan. He gets stripped and just stands and pouts. Maybe at least try to hustle and get back into the play?

no, it's fairly obvious that when the refs are not dominating the game, the Suns are actually allowed to play.

only question from here is who the league wants to win. that's it.

Probably a bad challenge. You can't just blindly challenge calls because your players want you to....every call that goes against them should be challenged in their eyes.

It’s really crazy how big homecourt advantage is in basketball compared to the other sports.

Road team sometimes looks like they’ve never played in a hostile environment in their lives

Ayton has been an absolute dominant twoway force this game. If he can only play with this level night in night out which with his talent level really isnt asking much at all hed be an easy top 10 player and only behind Jokic and Embiid among centers. Playoff games like this by him are why he was the 1st pick even if it was the wrong one

Not sure why Kidd is giving powell any minutes. He gives virtually nothing on offense and can't stop ayton on defense.

Klieber/Bertans are light years better offensively and do exactly same on defense as far as fighting in the post

I’m not saying he’s acting, it’s freaking impressive that he never takes a play (and a game) off

Anyone that has ever played basketball and hit their knee understands a true knee stinger....there have been times I've had to be carried off the court and then a couple minutes go back and I'm fine. Knees are tricky and painful as hell.
