last 11 yrs since dwightmare magic have dropped or stayed same never moving up even 1 spot...you just won last yr?
doesn't matter, the Magic will forever carry the memory of that back to back

besides, it's better to stay in place or fall down if every 5-7 years you jump to 1st
better than jumping a bit every year but not getting to 1st\2nd i mean

Your team literally won last year and the Magic have moved down every or stayed the same every draft since Howard (iirc)

Would expect Orlando to fake going Chet, then take as much as they can get from OKC, then happily take Jabari at 2.

Yeah, congrats to you guys. Hopefully they can start really turning things around.
Also congrats to the Magic. There wasn't really a ton of movement this year though. The top 3 stayed the same just swapped the positions around.

Perfect fit next to Cade. Just hope one of these teams takes Banchero ahead of you.
Yessir! My thoughts exactly.

What bust have they had recently other than Bagley?

I think a lot could happen with this draft between now and draft day. Wouldn't be shocked to see a few guys boost into the top-3 because it feels pretty wide open. No sure bets like last year with the top 3

if they always screw it up, that means there's more quality left for teams picking further down
go get'em
Its made it a little bit easier to swallow considering I know Sacramento isn't going to make a great pick. We're basically picking 4.5, not 5th.
I think Det is on a good place. You can draft Ivey, Sharpe or Murray, and try to steal Ayton from the Suns and have a really good young core.

I came here to post this basically.
I wish the nba could invoke a rule that hurts your odds the more consecutive times you’re in the lotto and don’t win games. Orlando & Sacramento just don’t currently have good orgs for developing young talent. It’s so wasteful, other teams would make more out of having so many chances.
It's really weird to invoke Orlando to make a case for Detroit being more deserving of a top pick. They've essentially performed the same as Detroit over the last decade.
I'm all for a rule that 1) lowers your chances of a top 3 picks if you had one last year and/or 2) lowers your chances of a top 5 pick if you've had multiple in the last x number of years but really, it's OKC that the rule should target.

The key to lottery is if you 4-6 to six range, coming down the stretch of the season, try a little harder to get the #7 pre-lottery position.
