Case closed.

Against a team whose best player is Jayson Tatum.

Against two All-stars and a DPOY.

so…Boston had 2 all stars and Golden State had 3 all stars this year? And Steph leading the team with more all stars over the team with fewer is gargantuan?

No need to go in circles. Go back and look at the initial statement I responded to.

Wade and Bosh were both struggling with injuries in the 2013 playoffs and averaged 15 PPG and 11 PPG respectively. The Heat were better in the minutes Lebron didn't share the floor with Wade. If you ignore their names they weren't any better than your standard second and third options that season.

Averaged a 50 win pace in the games he played (mutilated without him) on 32/6/6 with a 66% TS; Lebron calling him the clear MVP of the league. He had arguably the best 3 month stretch in modern NBA history. Oubre was a selfish wrench even he could not fix, unfortunately.

Nobody in the modern game was won without an All Star level player (actually voted as such or not) or two next to them. But Curry came as close as you can get this season.

Nobody actually believes Steph will be remembered as highly as Lebron for this era. It's nonsense.

Curry was scoring like Jordan and Kobe producing a point total in a single NBA game higher than LeBron has ever had and passing LeBron in scoring titles.

When the numbers outlast the media narratives Steph will be remembered more highly.

If the top tier players of the last 10 or 12 years were original Jackson 5 member, Curry is Jermaine at best.

lebron has a space jam. THAT bespeaks universality

it's his era. might not be so now that he's at the end of the line but i still think it answers the topic

Hakeem did it in 1995, while playing better competition than these Warriors did.

It really depends how you define an era..

I think the recent era just changed.

2005 to 2021
One era defined by banning handchecking in 2005 resulted in expansion of the 3 point shot over time and eventually led to another rule change in 2022 that closed the era and that was the ban of flopping.

This era was dominated by LeBron
Steph, Durant, CP3, Wade, Kobe, Giannis, Duncan all played important roles in the era but it's completely owned by LBJ.

1995 when Hakeem was joined by Clyde Drexler, you know the guy who led the Blazers to two finals appearances? It looks like they were both younger than Curry is now too.
