I think Chet definitely is benefitting from having a superstar level ball handler and the gravity that creates. Sengun has to manufacture whatever points he gets and is often the one drawing the double. In the long run I would also trust his durability. Not that Chet hasn’t shown that so far, it’s just Sengun has that Jokic like quality. Tougher than the book cover thing.

No issue if any other team choose either player though. Both picks turn out very well.

71% TS is absolutely elite efficiency considering this guy isn't just catching lobs at the rim, he is a floor spacer taking 4 threes a game while anchoring the #1 defence in the league. Did a quick google search:

His fit is absolutely perfect for this team. That said, congrats Rockets as Sengun has blossomed and your team is fun to watch.

Camby actually averaged a hair under 15 as a rookie. That said I'm not sure we saw the best version possible of Camby either and while overrated in the context of DPOY, he was an elite defender.

these two could work together

two of my favorite players in the nba, and personally all the way back to pre draft.

i wanted sengun at 6th in 2021 with solid confidence he would be the best player from that class.

chet is also a beast on his own right. such a monstruous defender, and i think he has tons of untapped potential on offense as an off ball threat. he's already great but i think, watching markkanen, he has still another gear to unleash in the league if he stays healthy.

most of non thunder fans can't realize. but just look closely the numbers of chet+cason and chet+caruso lineups. these guys which i call ccc (chet caruso cason) are cheat codes in the nba.

that synergy is too strong and i suspect chet is one of those guys with off charts bbiq that can create synergy easily.

maybe sengun is better for 29 nba teams right now, but i wouldn't trade the sure thing, specially since the ball is in good hands in okc.
