Is Embiid really gonna play tonight and duck Denver tomorrow?

Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow will be hot take city either way. Joker is great and wins we’ll hear all the exaggerations and same if Embiid is great and wins.

I never said anything about voting. If anyone thinks missing one game defines an mvp then you’re (not you) clueless

I'm glad we agree. I agree when he misses games it sucks. I think 95% of the team it's legit. Especially tomorrow. I do think it'll be a bad look if he misses it tomorrow, but I also understand his health matters especially after he just missed 4 games. I doubt he misses it.

I will say it’s looking like another year Luka won’t get mvp. He’s kind of missing some games. Team will lose some games which hold the record down and competition for mvp is just as good as him.

Interesting looks like Embiid has matured a bit and doesn't care about regular season accolades. It's all about a ring or bust for him. Good that his goals and mentality are different this year compared to last.

Not sure that's entirely true, after the debacle where he stayed in while up 30 in the 4th just to keep his 30/10 streak alive, then missed 5 games because his knee swelled up.

My simple composite rating system: Jokic, SGA, Embiid, Giannis, Luka.

How it's done: Look at the rate and aggregate versions of two advanced stats: BPM/VORP for boxscore and EPM/EW for impact. Assign each player points for each of the four measures based on a ranked 100 scale. Take the average.

As you can see from the top 20 below, Embiid's ranking is affected significantly in this ranking by his lower amount of playing time, evidenced by large drop-offs from his BPM/VORP and EPM/EW numbers.

Just updated this yesterday.

He'll surely be available for the Denver game in 12 days, right? It's not a B2B, which is great!

Leading up to it he'll face:
Hornets
Day off
Spurs
2 days off
Pacers w/o Haliburton
Day off
@Denver

Hoping the Sixers do the LOGICAL thing and sit him vs. the weaker competition if he needs the rest...right?
