But it's true...do you honestly think that those 8 or 10 extra FT made him more prepared and a better player? I personally doubt it.

They wont make him a better player in terms of progress, but if they make him feel more comfortable and eliminate any remaining anxiety he might have had. They'll make him a better player for sure.

Pretty much every player in league history has been able to get comfortable and eliminate anxiety before games without warming up during national anthems. Do you think Wade, a seasoned vet with tons of playoff experience, needed those 30 seconds to get comftorable, or that he just didnt care about the canadian anthem?

And regardless of wether you think the anthems are pointless or not, they are a tradition in all sports and it is extremely disrespectful to not stand while they play. Wade had to be aware of that

Canada we cheer for both anthems.. When the sound cut out during the American anthem the fans continue to sing it for them.
America you boo our anthem, shoot during it and random chant USA like its the olympics.

You say all this like Canada didn't recently elect a complete joke of a political leader itself. You too, have basically elected a celebrity, just one that bows down like a obsequious serf to whatever pc piety is the rave at any given time. It was tied at 82 when Lowry hit a 3-pointer with 2:07 left, and he followed that with a pair of free throws on the next Toronto possession. Miami answered with four straight, a layup by center Udonis Haslem followed by a nifty Eurostep in the lane by Wade that led to another score.

The Raptors went back to Lowry, and his pullup from the right wing with 31.7 seconds left was pure -- giving Toronto an 89-86 lead. Wade got a layup to get Miami within one, but Toronto restored the three-point edge when DeRozan made two foul shots with 23.9 left.

Johnson missed an open 3 on the next Miami possession, the Raptors went back to the line and the Heat crowd started filing to the exits.
