Why is everyone assuming Whiteside is done? D.will out of all people has come back from this injury in a day. At most, he misses 1 game. This sucks for the Raptors.

An NBA acknowledgement with a fine and an apology by Wade would be fine with me. Just some acknowledgement that some significant disrespect was done.
Not looking to make Wade evil for this. That depends on how he treats others, most of which we never have a full accurate gauge on for athletes.

that school teacher mentality
But it's true...do you honestly think that those 8 or 10 extra FT made him more prepared and a better player? I personally doubt it.
They wont make him a better player in terms of progress, but if they make him feel more comfortable and eliminate any remaining anxiety he might have had. They'll make him a better player for sure.
Pretty much every player in league history has been able to get comfortable and eliminate anxiety before games without warming up during national anthems. Do you think Wade, a seasoned vet with tons of playoff experience, needed those 30 seconds to get comftorable, or that he just didnt care about the canadian anthem?
And regardless of wether you think the anthems are pointless or not, they are a tradition in all sports and it is extremely disrespectful to not stand while they play. Wade had to be aware of that

Canada we cheer for both anthems.. When the sound cut out during the American anthem the fans continue to sing it for them.
America you boo our anthem, shoot during it and random chant USA like its the olympics.
Whiteside gets hurt and we cheer when he gets up and is ok.
Val goes down and Miami cheers for a injury.
You guys deserve trump
Not all of you but those morons do, the rest you should go somewhere people know what what respect is.
You say all this like Canada didn't recently elect a complete joke of a political leader itself. You too, have basically elected a celebrity, just one that bows down like a obsequious serf to whatever pc piety is the rave at any given time. That doesn't make him better than Trump: it just makes him Trump (i.e. no substance) without the willingness to step on toes or piss people offs.
I mean, Trump is a **** candidate, but at least he's not just a pretty face that tries to be everyone's friend, and says the least controversial thing he can think of whenever possible. He has no more substance than Trump: he's just a crowd-pleaser with good PR, and based off your posts, that's what you Canadians deserve. He walks, talks and acts like a celebrity, not a political leader; y'all have nothing to brag about in this regard.
And yet here you are, talking smack about a far more successful country than yours, because you're upset someone didn't respect your anthem? Give me a damn break. No one likes an obsequious suck-up who is desperate for everyone to like him, and that's how you come across with this "we finish your anthem" bs. If you want to know why people "disrespect" you, then this is why.
This is exactly the response I expect from someone like you.. Thank you for proving my point. You responded to one line In my post. Here I am talking about sports you lose you mind about a trump comment. Everyone looks at American politics like a it's a joke and if you can't see it you a idiot. You claim more successful but your so far behind you can't even see it.. I'm not going to argue politics with you on a basketball forum.
You were talking sports? No you weren't: you were using a single instance of someone practicing shots during your national anthem (why you think anyone should care about this is beyond me) to indulge in some oh-so-classic anti-American bigotry, and engage in some wide-sweeping condemnation of America, its people, its politics, etc. You think Americans are stupid, while also getting as angry and self-righteous over your national anthem as any gun-toting bible-bashing American.
You guys are so quick to use my post to castigate Americans ("oh, typical American" even though i'm not American, but half Polish/British, and grew up in the latter) that you evidently have a prejudice; an emotive, irrational one at that. And sure, I agree, smarmy and self-indulgent europeans (or Canadians, in this case) do seem to get off vaunting their "superiority" by bashing Americans, but i've lived in two european countries, and their politics is nothing to write home about. Most of Europe lives under an undemocratic supranational state, and is subjugated to the wants of Germany (see recent events in Portugal). Modern "democratic" politics is one big joke all across the West, and few intelligent people I know can stomach taking this politics seriously; sometimes it almost seems as if conceited Europeans engage in such America-bashing to hide this from themselves, along with the evident fact that they have become wholly insignificant parts of a de facto American Empire (they certainly cower under its aegis). Ever heard of the expression "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?" Well, you could learn a lesson from it.
"someone like me"
What does that mean exactly? I don't believe I know you, so i'd be surprised if you know me. Or was this simply another anti-American driven snap-judgement of yours?

Northface82 wrote:It was tied at 82 when Lowry hit a 3-pointer with 2:07 left, and he followed that with a pair of free throws on the next Toronto possession. Miami answered with four straight, a layup by center Udonis Haslem followed by a nifty Eurostep in the lane by Wade that led to another score.
The Raptors went back to Lowry, and his pullup from the right wing with 31.7 seconds left was pure -- giving Toronto an 89-86 lead. Wade got a layup to get Miami within one, but Toronto restored the three-point edge when DeRozan made two foul shots with 23.9 left.
Johnson missed an open 3 on the next Miami possession, the Raptors went back to the line and the Heat crowd started filing to the exits.
Worst fans ever, just relocate this garbage organization to Alaska or something.
Jesus Christ some serious keyboard warriors thread.
Sick and tired of this stupid media narrative about "Miami fans this" and "Miami fans that". Every fan base has fans that make it look bad in some way, shape, or form.
But no **** logic.
Whoever believes this narrative is a moron. Plain and simple.
