some of these moves Coby put on tonight are stupid good

He won ROTM in the EC too. Looks good but i dunno if you can have a White/LaVine backcourt defensively.
How's his D?

He's actually very solid. Not a shut down defender by any means, but he competes.

brutal loss for the pelicans. They need this games to push for that 8th seed, which will ultimately imo decide the ROY race. 140 given up to minny is awful

Hope the Wolves play him and KAT together. They need to realize KAT is not an anchor.

The one thing JA has that no one really talks about is his leadership dude is carrying a much 23 year olds night in and night out he is fearless.

Zion is already the face of the NBA and his team but his leadership is so so at best he is quite timid when it comes to that.

Zion the opposite of Ja, 0 points in the last 9 minutes of the games as the Wolves took the lead and won.

you don't have to be a rah rah type to lead, Duncan did it for 2 decades barely saying a word.

I think 15 games into Zion's career is a little too early to make that kind of determination. I do agree that Ja as a rookie running a team has shown a lot of leadership and he is going to be a top PG in the league.

Ingram has stepped in to another tier, pels are tryin to balance giving Zion the reign while also allowing Ingram to continue growing.... it’s a awkward situation especially since Zion is so chill and Ingram has a point to prove..
Not to mention missing half of the season while Ingram became an allstar, ja doesn’t have those problems
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

I haven't at all been following this thread, so maybe these talking points aren't going to be anything new, but I think Zion has a real shot of winning ROY barring him missing anymore games, and that he continues playing like this. People cite Embiid as a reason for why he won't, but that's different because Embiid made his staple in the first half of the year, then got hurt in the second half. His name not being in the mix during the final stretch of the season hurt his chances since his name had been absent for so long. Zion will have ended strong (assuming again this keeps up and doesn't get hurt), and he'll be fresh in everyone's mind. The narrative will be so strong people will ever forget that he missed the first couple of months of basketball.

Zion winning the ROY would be a total travesty considering the season Morant is having.

Whether we agree or not, it will come down to who makes the playoffs between nwo and memphis. I personally don't think this should decide it, but that's how it will go.

He needs to really work on his endurance. He was very clearly gassed last night. It was a very fast paced game, so I wouldn't be shocked if the place just caught up to him.

Reid was a beast last night.

Since the trades he is averaging 11.0/6.7/1.2 with only 0.5 turnovers and 0.9 stl/1.0 blk per game. It's really impressive that he doesn't turn it over for a 20 year old big.

yep, especially considering that he actually handles it a bit too, he's got some floor game.

Yeah and next year he will be getting his minutes against backups, not starters.

Let's get one thing clear, his fouls are still an issue and he isnt perfect but my god am I pumped!

It would be a real travesty for a guy to lose rookie of the year having a good year as opposed to a guy having a spectacular, historic one?

all rook teams:

G Ja Morant
G Tyler Herro
F R.J. Barrett
F Zion Williamson
C Brandon Clarke

G Coby White
G Kevin Porter Jr.
F Rui Hachimura
F PJ Washington
C Jaxson Hayes

G Darius Garland
G Terence Davis
F Cameron Reddish
F Michael Porter Jr.
C Eric Paschall

can probably make another team with Thybulle, Gafford, Hunter, Reid and Dort.
