Two actual voters here. Jalen Rose confirms he’s voting for Jokic. Stephen A is leaning towards Jokic.

If Embiid wins the MVP, he'll have more asterisks than anyone.

* Not even close to being #1 player this season by any metric.
* 4th seed, 50-51 wins.
* only 68-69 games played.

This would be the most controversial MVP ever.

The truth is, they wanted to give him the MVP, but he failed to give them at least one good argument to justify their votes.

Asterisk MVP yet most neutral fans think Jokic is MVP?

The only asterisk would be anyone besides Giannis/Jokic winning it, tbh.

Yet here you are discounting advanced stats of jokic only to use other advanced stats to defend your boy. I find that hilarious.

Asterisk MVP? lmao. Funny how every fan of the other candidates have no problem with the other big three winning but you. Says more about you doesn't it

What’s there to see? Embiid isn’t playing. Giannis isn’t playing. Jokic probably isn’t playing.

I think if the voters are being internally consistent then only 2 players can win it. Jokic or Booker. Giannis and Embiid don't have arguments over Jokic. But booker has so many wins that maybe the stats difference can make up for it.

Bill simmons said that he needed to watch the last 2 games of the season to decide his mvp

I haven't watched this yet (probably seen it all anyway), but I'm gonna drop it here for everyone to enjoy!

jokic scoring has a 287 ts add, embiid is 170

between the missed games and the lower efficiency is hard to argue that embiid scoring is as valuable as jokic then there is the playmaking

even rebounding is in jokic favor (both individual and how good denver rebounding is)

i actually think embiid is still a cbetter defender but jokic is clearly better offensively

Denver could still get the 5th seed and the 76ers could still get the 3rd seed. Why wouldn’t Embiid or Jokic be playing?

Man, I watched this entire thing and it didn't even include my favorite Jokic assist from this season. On one hand, that's a reminder that highlight reels miss great plays all the time (don't get me started on it), but on the other hand, how great of a passer is Jokic that you can make a 20+ minutes reel from a single season, and it still leaves out incredible passes?

The play I was looking for was this one. How do you leave this one out!?

Just put Giannis, Jokic & Embiid in one of those lottery style balls, select a ball and declare the winner. All 3 are deserving and had incredible seasons, too close to call.

Embiid is confirmed to be sitting out today. Players aren’t going to risk injuries.

(Top four are probably set in stone, but after that it's really hard! Like, Booker is 9th, but he'd be a good vote at 5th, too.)

1. Jokic
2. Antetokounmpo
3. Embiid
4. Tatum
5. Doncic
6. Durant
7. Paul
8. Gobert
9. Booker
10. Curry
11. Morant
12. Butler

I just checked bbref's MVP Tracker, and Tatum isn't in the top ten. I wonder why that is. Maybe I could be moved off him at fourth, but I think his impact is just too good to deny. (Double-checked his numbers, and yeah, I think fourth is a good spot for him.) In any case, the top three are obviously set in stone at this point. After that, it's all a great big bowl of a mumbo jumbo-laya of information. (I'm hungry.)

I think Booker has to be top 5. No player have ever averaged 25-5-5, had the best record in the league, and not won MVP.

I think Booker, Tatum, and Doncic will split the 4/5 votes.

Jokic has 7 of 13 confirmed 1st place votes. He also has 4 2nd place votes (the remaining 2 are unknown).

It looks like he will finish with ~ 60-40-0 (1st-2nd-3rd), just as the straw poll 3.0 predicted.

It will not be close, as the other two candidates will have a lot of 3rd place votes

There will be a handful of clowns who leave Jokic off their ballot entirely but no one will do the same to Embiid or Giannis so that will close the gap. A little.
