People are so quick to blow it up. Celtics best players are so young, I have no idea why you would break them up after an ECFS appearance.

The main concern for them will be how they afford this team. Brown and Kemba already stating their big deals. Tatum is next and smart looks like he's going to get a fat contract too. Will be interesting to see how they keep this group together

Lol. The ceiling and widow of Boston is so wide right now.

Those IT teams were a motley crew that played real well and maximized their talent with energy and execution.

This Celtics team still finding its way.

Living up to your name. He was easily the best player in the last series and has reach 2 ECF before the age of 23. He's a superstar

One window into how close this series really was.

That reminds me there was a Miami fan here who predicted they would win this series despite being outscored by Boston overall

Shoutout to that fan, whoever you are. I didn't save the post.

People are dumb, that's why.

That said, the Boston front office shouldn't get caught up in all these "bright future" sentiments and just sit on their asses. The future may be bright with Tatum and Brown, but you never know what will happen. Look what happened to OKC's core of KD-Russ-Harden. That team was supposed to rule the past decade.

Same. Hot take here but I would take him over anyone else on the Celtics.

Agree, I thought he was their best player in Game 5, he made a lot of strong drives and defensive plays to help Boston take and start to pad the lead. Once Boston was up around ~10 front running Jayson made a bunch of highlight plays and got called player of the game. But when the game is in the balance, Brown has more dog in him, I think he deserves more touches.

What series u watching?

Bam’s good. Helps that the only guy who could guard him, Grant Williams, never played.

I like Bam a lot, but Boston’s defensive construction was a joke at times .

This poster tried to tell me that the GB wasn’t waiting for the Celtics to fail for them to throw needless hate, but he’s just one of them himself LOL.

This is a chicken and egg situation. Celtics fans want championships and successes because every time they lose you get "Celtics exposed" threads on the GB about how danny Ainge should've traded for Butler/PG and how Stevens is trash for not being able to handle Kyrie's ego.

Which shows they are just cocky arrogant only interested in stealing other teams farm to inject talent which is what Ainge has mostly done instead of building from scratch like the Nuggets or even the BKN Nets. Like Tatum, Brown is barely in their 20s while Walker has little to no playoff exp and he is 6ft. No coach is winning a chip with that kind of roster. They dont have any superstars and half the cap is wasted on Hayward, Kemba whose not doing anything in these crucial moments. Until Tatum and Brown becomes top 10 players, they are just a perennial 2nd round waiting to get knocked out by a better opponent.

Wtf are you even talking about?

It's not the worst thing ever, but...

It's not ideal, as it's taking a historically significant symbol of racism and hate and using it to make a joke about something meaningless.

I don't want to be too PC though, otherwise I'll be trolled by the board.

I will say that coming off the Raptors vs Celtics series threads, this series was definitely a LOT more tame in terms of hostile posting.

Celtics will continue to have their shine in the Eastern Conference. Such a young and talented team, man. No need to overreact and call for Steven's head and whatnot. Y'all will make another deep playoff run next year. Guaranteed.

GG Celtics fans.

The better team won. It seems as if we struggled in 4 4th quarters out of 6, which isn't acceptable, especially when you're looking at a Finals appearence.
Kinda disappointed in Kemba, tbh. Thought he'd bring more in that 4th quarter, but he didn't.

Good luck, Heat. Zone them up!
Good assessment:

GG Celtics, we managed to close out a super close series. It basically came down to Miami executing better down the stretch in close games. Could have gone either way really. I don't think I wanna face you guys again next year

Congo to the heat. Will be rooting for Lakers to win just so I can see Rondo get his 2nd ring.

As for celtics, this will hopefully give the team self reflection as to what they need to work on for the players and what pieces are missing for the front office.

Celtics are going to be a tough out in the East for a long time. Brown and Tatum are only going to get better.

Will be interesting to see what moves are prioritized this offseason. Better bench depth a good start.

One take from this series , Jaylen Brown is underused. He really impressed me. Didnt' expect he would be this good. You Celtics got a stud there.
