Almost every Raptor fan said this was our best matchup and we could maybe push Philly. But this was a found money playoff appearance for us and the expectations were low...

Interesting thing is that Harden didn't have a good game

Embiid has come a long way from chucking 3's. Credit to Doc for that tbh

I'm not into crapping on teams when they're down, but this was absolutely not the energy raptors fans and most NBA fans were giving before the series

That stretch was brutal. Complacency settled in and the worse thing you can do is give a team hope and optimism that they can hang with you. Really have to clean that up b/c they need to keep it dominant for 48 minutes. Could get away with it against Toronto due to their lack of experience/#1 scoring option, but against Miami for instance it'll kill them.

Really am peeved for my Raps that Scottie Barnes isn't gonna get more playoff experience as he looked so composed out there and was looking forward to seeing him play in Toronto but oh well those are the breaks. Realistically I had the 76ers in 5-6 games tops but that Doc was gonna find a way to make this way harder than it needed to be.

Love that Maxey kid as he's been truly fun to watch throughout the year(the FT baiting antics of Harden is grating along with Embiid although I blame the refs for allowing that plus I won't blame any player for taking advantage of any loophole available.)

That Embiid turnaround 3 in the corner with nowhere to go was a back breaker!

To be honest, I definitely was getting a little concerned when the Raptors made their run. They are relentless. It looked to me like the Sixers started giving the Raptors space out there, and the Raptors didn't stop playing. Full credit to them.

The games in Toronto are going to be a war.

PJ Tucker is another one who got better at age 37

More experience, different roles, they're each great fits for what their respective teams need from them. Just the right balance of contribution and steadiness for the POs.

I mean your two best players FVV/Siakam are 28 and had a horrible game. Not sure where the Raptors are going from here, they need top end talent.

Let's keep it 100. The Raptors won the season series, they have a ton of long, athletic guys, they have a legit scorer in FVV, and an excellent coach (even though he does whine too much). I thought this was a 6-7 game series...and it still could be.

For me, the biggest takeaway was the Raptors came out and punched the Sixers in the mouth, and they were WAY more physical. The fact that the Sixers responded well was a good sign.

It would have been nice to have Barnes the entire series. Holding out hope maybe he gets back by game 4? That's probably like a week off?

Maxey is a joy to watch. I was kinda shocked that the Sixers didn't just go to him over and over down the stretch.

It was so frustrating watching them throw one looping pass after another allowing Raptors defense to recover. Lead to a lot of awful possessions & turnovers that if we just tighten up passes we get wide open looks and possibly surge back up 30 and Raptors go home on the ropes.

Fvv and Pascal arent legit halfcourt scorers. They can put up PPG in the regular season but when it slows down and you have to get buckets they arent THEM. Tyrese Maxey is prolly a better pure scorer than either.... And hes Phillys 3rd or 4th best scorer..... This was never gonna be a series. Regular season doesnt matter. Playoffs are DIFFERENT.

Whatever it was it looked like Nurse was close to getting T'd up. Ref's head definitely took a firm twist towards Nurse at one point.

I have been on RealGM for TWENTY YEARS. I am not a troll. I am just SO SICK of whining Raptors fans. I understand that not all Raptors fans are like this, but the whiny ones overload game threads, and it is MADDENING.

I wasn't saying the thread was clean, but compared to before it was getting better.

And that guy trolled the entire time after last game to the start of this game.

Hey - just calling it as I see it.

And I gave you some love with your post about Boucher. I thought it was great. But you can always count on a Raptors fan to follow it up with some whiny little post about the refs or the Sixers flopping.

It is like day following night.

I assure you, I would love to have a thread with substantive, thoughtful posting. I would ENJOY that. But that is not what we get.

Tell you what - lets get posters to stop whining about the refs, and just have fun talking about the game. I am down for that.

How about you?

It's impossible to pacify complaints about the refs. That's a feature inherently built into every basketball fan.

Let folks complain, but know that complaining about complaints is like screaming into the void, which results in petty smack fests and the mods getting bombarded with reports and mean PM's.

I think raptors playing hard. Forcing sixers to play starters all 37 minutes and more. Harden and Danny Green will feel
It tomorrow

Charles Barkley was right sixers needed to push lead to 30 by end of the third to let harden and embiid rest.

But with no thybulle in Toronto. I’m not sure Danny green can play 37 minutes Wednesday. I can’t believe green can still dunk. It’s gonna to take a lot of of him.

Game 3 will be a dog fight. Not sure about barnes status or if Gary can play Wednesday. Toronto will fight to the end.

This series is not over.

I wasn't calling you a troll. this was a response to you that the other guy was baiting... But since you went there, sorry but Im sick of people saying it overloads game threads. for every raptor fan complaining about something there is another Philly, Boston, or whatever fan saying some bull to bait or extend the rant. I know there is some whining going on but don't act like it isn't pushed further by the relentless trolls on here who only post to bait others.
