15 games. Send a message to all players that this immature play is not acceptable in the NBA.

well, i think if bynum just hip checked him or pushed him down it's fine.

but bynum went up top and barrea couldve landed on his neck when he is going up for the layup.

Should be 5-10 but no more than that.

The huge issue is not just this one single foul. Its the freaking 3rd time.

One time a player got serious injuried. Combine this with his post game comments and you know why the league SHOULD throw a hammer down on him.

Posters here are always whining that the NBA has gotten soft and isn't like the good old days. Well, Bynum just made a good old days play and now people want him suspended for half a year. What Bynum did is what many people on realgm claim they want back in the league. So either people should be asking for no suspension/a minor suspension or it is time for you to reassess whether you want back dirty plays.

IMO, Bynum should get a 4-7 game suspension. Plays like the one Bynum made could result in a significant injury or a brawl. You don't want a dirty play from a team that is about to be eliminated altering the course of the playoffs because it result in a big injury or suspensions to the winning team. So the league should send a reasonably strong message against Bynum to deter other players from getting "frustrated."

Maybe come back when you had a collapsed lung like Gerald Wallace

He did the exact same thing to Gerald Wallace and it punctured his lung. Bynum knows how dangerous it is and he does it anyway. Again. After he's already been suspended. Twice.

The people saying he doesn't deserve a harsh punishment will be the first ones to blame the NBA for not protecting players when Bynum ends someone's career with one of his cheap shots.

Not only should he be suspended, the NBA should make him do 600 hours of community service working with midgets.

Bynum was intentionally trying to injure a player during the playoffs because he got frustrated. He was attempting to hurt him. I see this as Bynum threatening the integrity of the sport by trying to hurt the Mavs chances in the future by taking out a player. Dont try and hurt players in the playoffs because you got outplayed. Bynum hasn't learned his lesson and will keep doing this over and over unless he gets a serious punishment. 10 games is ridiculous being that it wont teach the knucklehead anything. 20 should be the minimum.

He could have ended 3 different guys careers with the same type of cheap shot. 1/8th of a season is hardly excessive for a 3rd time offender. Keep suspending him a couple games and you can expect more guys going down.

Even McHale made a halfhearted attempt to get his hands on the ball when he clotheslined Rambis. Bynum just wanted to hurt someone.

He should get 25 but will probably get less than 15, maybe way less. If Jermaine O'Neal can get approximately 25 games for punching a fan that charged the court and was obviously ready to fight (and could have been armed for all JO knew) Bynum should get at least that.

I've read countless posts on this board were people have glorified things like Rodman shoving Pippen or Malone's elbow on Isiah and said the NBA is soft because these types of things no longer happen. Now, Bynum gives people a taste of those plays and everyone on realgm wants him suspended for double digit games.

Now I think the league was right to get rid of that crap, but a lot of people argue the league was wrong. If you were in that camp you shouldn't be arguing for Bynum to get a suspension. Instead you should glorify him for deterring lane penetration.

im all for the rough nba play, i would like to go back to that....but you have to make SOME attempt of at least trying to get the ball

but I understand why bynum did it
