Typical trap game for a good team. Mavs looked bored out there, didn't really run their offense, not much hustle, little defensive effort etc. On the other side, the Pacer's shooters were on fire (Cope, Rudez, even stuckey and Scola made a few threes), and Sloan had a fantastic game.

Because Dirk doesn't shoot 50% TS.

Well Dirk is better at it, that's why he's Dirk. I will say though it's REALLY going to help Aldridge's efficiency with him adding those 1-2 threes he's been taking and seemingly always making. He's still a valuable offensive piece and people need to understand that team offense takes precedent over individual efficiency, and Aldridge does his job well by design. There's always room for improvement though. Aldridge has shown in the past that when it comes down to him taking people to the rim that he's really good. Superstar good, and that's what some people want to see out of him.

Man I know Burk has had a good game, but what the **** has he been doing these last couple of minutes. Horrible defense he keeps making the big men switch onto Rose, his offense is just yuck, and he finally passes it and it's a no look bounce pass around the back to Kanters feet.

Me and a couple guys always go back and forth. They say aldridge is an overrated inefficient chucker the I say his teams guy derozan is a chucker lol. Its only a small amount of people.

Because Dirk is a 58-60 TS% player and arguably the greatest shooting bigman of all time? Dirk's worst shooting year (56 TS%) -- not counting his rookie year -- is better than Aldridge's best shooting year.

It happens because Dirk can actually shoot threes and is a much better freethrow shooter.

Ill agree that aldridge could do more like he did tonight I just hate the idea that aldridge is just a jump shooter. If people watch him they would see he is more than that. He is the reason for one of the better offenses in the league.

People used to criticize Dirk to no end prior to his championship run. I think he's earned to right to a pass just off of that alone.

Any team with a big back court will give us problems. James Johnson is our only guy that can stop the Joe Johnson types. If the nets stay healthy it could be another great playoff match up.

The Mavs high-powered offense played against defenses such as the Sixers, Jazz, Celtics, T'Wolves, and Lakers. When they've faced real defensive teams they have usually struggled/lost this season.

Basically Dirk is one of the most efficient players in the game, despite taking a ton of shots that are techinically the worst shots in the game (long 2's). He's a freak. Most players are like .100fg% -.150fg% worse from those same spots. Aldridge otoh takes a ton of those bad shots (long 2's), but he's not really great at it. I mean he's good at it, inso far as that he hits a good % from that spot. But hitting a good % from a long 2 for him (and most players) is still an inefficient shot. He is probably the least efficient "star" in the game.

If you want to rely on long 2's you better be amazing at it.
