Why should this topic get merged or closed? I see a dedicated Embiid thread with 100s of posts despite the fact that there's a Rookie Thread.

Porzingis is straight up balling right now. He had an impressive rookie year but the jump he made is astounding. He went from mainly finishing and shooting 3s to being a Melo-tier offensive weapon.

He should definitely be in the all star game.

well we can only make assumptions based off of what we see and hear as fans, but I doubt Porzingy would say "**** rose and melo" even if he thought differently. Like you say, he definitely could see the situation as good for him, but in my opinion he could definitely be in a better spot.

He and Melo seem to genuinely get along and look out for each other. Rose needs to figure out how to find him. Big, pale 7'3" guy. Pass it to him.

Not that I want Turner to be used in the same way, but the Knicks look to get Porzingis involved, the Pacers all tend to ignore Turner. Whenever we do go to him, he tends to deliver, then they just go right back to ignoring him after.

Either way, I'm really hope Porzingis and Turner can reignite the Hicks vs Knicks rivalry.

You should read a Knicks post game thread sometime. You'd think he got 5 FGA

Tsherkin messaged me and wrote that we can make a thread 20 games into the season, counting down the games, six more to go. :D Not that Embiid needed it, but whatever. Kristaps looks amazing, and he was good on the defensive end last night too.

It wasnt like this last season. KP pretty much gets ignored frekkin lot of times. Things seemingly had changed when Hornacek put the team on blast regarding the issue. There are times when I thought veteran players ignoring youngins is actually a thing. Perhaps there is some truth to it.

Myles Turner had a good showing last season. His jumpshot is pure too. He'll have his chance to shine and show what he really can do.

Is Teague actively looking for him? I'm sure he does a better job than DRose does with KP. It's Jennings who gets KP a ton of open looks

Nothing infuriates me more than when he sets a screen, rolls, is wide open for a mid-range jump shot, and the guard drives to the lane with three opponents around him. They do it at least 5 times a game. He should be averaging 15 shots a game.

Indeed!

You're looking at potentially 6-8 All-Stars when it's all said and done (excluding injuries impacting career).

KAT, KP, DAR, Jah, Turner, Booker, Mudiay, etc (I'm probably forgetting one or two), all have that potential career path. I feel sorry for any GM whose team didn't have a pick that year, especially in the 1st Round.

He almost made it last year as a Rookie but fell a few thousand votes short for the last spot.

He should definitely make it this year tho! He dropped two 30+ Point games in less than a week, with few plays being called for him, and like it was nothing! :droop:

The guy also has put up double digit points in almost EVERY game this Season, scored 20 or more Points in a majority of them, and does it all without EVER being the he focal point in the Offense.

Can you imagine if he was?! :o

KP last 5 25PPG 9RPG while shooting .50 .39 .85

The guy has me in awe, His shooting percentages are so high and he doesnt play in the post a ton. Its 14 games and I dont want to get too hyped. But he has shown that he's ready to take the next step every single game. Last night I as at the game and asked my boy "Did he just do a step back 3"

There's nothing he cant do and he hasnt even begun drawing fouls at a high clip yet. He's working with Dirk this off season and that should be good.

Dont be jealous, knicks fans were throwing KP under the bus saying Turner is better and Jokic is better as well.

Towns
Turner
Emiid
Jokic
KP

Thats what some were saying after 3 games. NBA is in good hands

Dirk said he'll work with this coming Summer too! They were supposed to do it this Summer that just went by, but couldn't match their open times.

Could you imagine him after working with his idol Dirk?! :D

So far, his career path progression has really taken that of Kawhi.

Derrick Rose favorite play last year was drive and kick to Gasol.

It will happen.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Isn't he taking the most shots on the Knicks squad? I think he is the real focal point in the offense, even if Melo is still that "officially"?

Or a GM who had a 1st Round pick and missed on it. So far Mario H isn't looking so great and WCS is questionable (but both still have potential).

For sure.

I still think WCS might do well on a different team. Perhaps more fast paced like the Nuggets or Suns. Maybe even alongside Westbrook on the Thunder.

Didn't Boston have multiple 1sts too?
