Irrational confidence in here, or a bunch of fans who apparently don't appreciate the skill level of the players they are watching. Guys saying theyd get a dozen points, zero chance. You'd be repeatedly stripped and blocked, targeted on both ends of the floor. Not to mention the conditioning level needed. Wasn't there a video years ago of Scalabrine schooling a bunch of college kids? A certified NBA scrub just toying with these guys. I'd say maybe 1% of guys on here would be able to get a bucket, and that's probably generous.

Just because I don’t think I’d be completely shut out & score 0 points doesn’t mean I’m delusional. It means I’m confident unlike a lot of losers around here.

Some of saying you couldn’t get ONE backdoor cut, a fast break layup or hit an open 3 are actually pretty sad tbh.

If you're 5'11 and 200lbs, and claim that you can score at least 10 points, you would have to have elite athleticism, strength, talent, and skill to compensate for your body type.

For comparison, you're roughly around the same height as JJ Barea but 15 pounds heavier. He's been averaging a little over 10 points per game for a while now. But you see how insanely fast, quick, strong, talented, and skilled he is. If you're heavier than him, then you would have to be built like a brick and have unique Lebron-like genetics that could maintain an elite athleticism with that much muscle. Not to mention have all skill/talent to go along with it.

It’s still basketball at the end of the day. If I got 15-25 shot attempts, I doubt I’m gonna miss all of them simply because I know how to shoot a ball.

I may luck into one basket, but I'd be giving up so much on the other end. I literally got a cramp last year playing one pick up game.

I'm in deent shape, but in no way shape or form could I run up and down the court for longer than 3 minutes at a time.

People saying they can score 10pts, I'm assuming you played at least high D1 level basketball. Even the worst defender in the league will look like a DPOY if he played defense on you.

Anyone here who hasn't played at a high college level or above could do anything offensively with any level of consistency. The best anyone could do is knock down the occasional open shot or maybe get a layup off a smart cut or by cherrypicking. No one here would be able to do anything with a triple threat, it would be turnover galore, with the occasional blocked shot or smothered contested miss.

Anyone who can hit a three would have a chance to score. You have to remember no one would play defense on a no name internet warrior, so if your teammates passes you the ball there is a chance to score. Honestly most of the people here wouldn’t even get passed the ball as it would be more efficient to play 4 on 5. The best chance is to get an offense rebound and luck out. But anyone claiming they could score 10 should either prove they play or played for a big time div 1 school or overseas. I think most people here would have trouble scoring on the CBA none the less get lucky in the NBA. Ive played with a few ex CBA guys and got torched but did manage to hit a few shots in scrimmage. These were guys 35 years old out of the league. I was 31 and in good shape. Reality in the face.

Zero. I would not make it to a position fast enough to be even get a shots off that would not be outright blocked. It is not just the ability to hit an open shot - which I would still most likely miss - but about being able to get a shot off fast enough before it was no longer open.

NBA athletes are the best in the world IMO. I am just a guy. It's like throwing me into a ring with Anthony Joshua. It is not that I would not be able to knock him out if I had the chance (and a baseball bat), it's about me being killed by death long before that.

If I could make a decent wage playing basketball for 6 months out of the year, I’d have a hard time saying no to it, though I guess everyone has their own reasons and motivations.

Well im 6'4 and played ball so yeah i could get 12 points, it wouldn't be efficient i might be 6 for 18 but i could score. People say its hard to score in the nba but if u have good size and skill u can score with minutes, most nba player could get 25 a night with the minutes and an ultimatum green light

A 7-0 win margin is comparable to a 70+ point difference win in basketball. A win of such magnitude shows just brutal and utter domination of the opposing team. At that time the Australian national team was ranked 5th in the world, and yet they were trashed by 14 year old boys. Granted football is very different from basketball but there is a huge athletic gulf between men and women which is hard to basically impossible to overcome. A guy like Steve Nash would look like Iverson against most WNBA players.
