I felt like Mobley would ultimately be the best rookie from this class, I just thought it would take him a few years. But apparently he might be the most prepared as well of the top picks so I now I know he’s going to be the best player in this class.

College Freshman Year:
Ayton 20 ppg
Mobley 16.4 ppg
Bosh 15.6 ppg
Davis 14.2 ppg
Adebayo 13ppg
Embiid 11 ppg
Towns 10 ppg

That’s points, and leads all comers of course in assists per game. Incredibly low block rate and was the best defensive positional big since Embiid/Davis. Special awareness and does it effortlessly

I think we all slightly underestimated how advanced Mobley is age for age.

I was always lukewarm on Cade (around the Ben/Antman number one pick tier)

I always thought Mobley or Green would be the best player in this draft, Green is more raw and smaller transferring over whereas Mobley is more than fine so he’s head and shoulders above the rest. Will be like AD year one, then year two look the F out. Came in with eerily similar profiles too.

Modern Bosh/AD with Duncan/Garnett in there. 13.5/8/1.8/1.2/1 for Rookie AD now add the scoring inflation tax today and a better facilitator age for age something like 15/7.5/1.8/1/3.5. It’s a good track to see what’s going to happen.

Special special big imo.

I’m thinking Chris Duarte should maybe be one of the selections in the poll?

Looks like Barnes nearly got a triple double with turnovers.

The Rockets are making a massive mistake not starting an actual point guard next to Jalen Green. Starting KPJ is a great tanking move, but it will waste a year of development for both him and Green. Just start John Wall with Green, it's dumb not to.

Barnes - 12/9/1 6 TOs on 5/13 ft
Suggs - 10/1/1 3 TOs on 3/14 ft

I probably take Barnes' line.

Franz- 12/4/2. 0 TO's 6-9 shooting.

Franz looks a little more polished than Scottie and Jalen, plus he's younger.

Evan Mobley had an interesting challenge going up against JJJ and was often taken out of the paint to cover JJJ out at the 3pt line. I think we'll see more blocks from him when he's able to hang closer to the paint and/or works on his timing to contest jumpers. He was a bit slow last night, but the ability to contest and block jumpers on the perimeter is there.

Evan showed his versatility scoring in a number of ways. So, he should be able to get 15ppg or more pretty consistently; but whether he can carry a team on offense and put up huge scoring games is something tbd.

Barnes and Suggs are handling the ball. Not a fair comparison to bring Franz into it.

Everyone has unrealistic expectations for rookies. It's going to take time.
