No reason keep Vogel/Rob past this season . We should entertain ad trades . He be great for the bulls .. the bulls will fall short because of their big man issues this year.

I’ve been team Vogel from the start, but I think the time has come for the Lakers FO to fire him. The team clearly isn’t responding to him. This roster is beyond trash but I still find it hard to believe that we’re 4 games under .500 with Lebron and AD.

He was... 100%... Even when he's not playing, he's the problem... Because that trade killed this team and he's done nothing to help it on the court.

Westbrook is part of the problem no doubt but there are much other structural problems with the Lakers as evidence by them losing to the lowly Blazers. I’m no Westbrook apologist, he’s been absolute garbage on the Lakers but this loss just exposes the cracks in the armour

The structural problems are about 80% a result of the Westbook trade at a minimum...

Yes the lakers are a hot mess right now... No it's not entirely Westbrook's fault on the court... But it pretty much all comes down to that trade.
Unless, like me you're on board blaming LeBron for being arrogant enough to still think he can coast through the reg season and beast in the playoffs and that's enough... Always taking defense days off...
And blaming AD for thinking he can be like LeBron...

AD and LeBron are no longer a dominant Duo... that said, if they hadn't traded for Westbrook, and maybe made one of the other trades that were rumored... That might not have been as big an issue.

Was curious so I looked it up, Lakers have a -2.1 net rating with AD/Bron on court *without* Russ.

Russ is definitely a big problem but this is a total roster construction failure. Just insane to me that you could be losing the minutes those two are on the floor. Just colossal mismanagement of a supporting roster around a championship duo.

i just never understand why legm never uses klutch connection ad for lavine. it would be win win both hometown talents go back.
bulls are the worst team defensively they really need AD badly and play gobert role.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Lebron body is catching up . You can tell, by body language. I think he has enough to catch Kareem but that’s it. .

That and a lot of our key rotation players weren't playing... Howard, Melo... No idea why DAJ didn't play though...
Point being, this wasn't on Frank V, can't blame Westbrook... THT was key to us even being in the game... Monk was pretty bad... Johnson was good... Bradley was a mixed bag... Ellington looked good for a while...

Monk was horrible, worst game of his season

Yeah... He's been working on a few of those lately... I might roll with Ellington for a while until he gets his mojo back.

LeBron missed at least three layups tonight that we'd never see him miss before and it wasn't like he was getting bodied by great defenders. I was really surprised to see that - I don't know if he's hurt, if he was tired, frustrated or it's just age catching up with him. But seeing three point blank layups rim off was pretty surprising.

You can’t blame Westbrook entirely on lack of defence, lack of effort, AD playing like the smallest big man ever and horrible roster construction. The trade for Westbrook was a bad fit from the beginning, anyone could see that and I said as much in the offseason. I didn’t think he’d be exposed this early, I thought it would be the playoffs to really show his limitations. You can 100% blame Westbrook for his trash play but you can’t blame him for what he was traded for. That’s on management and ownership. This loss is the perfect encapsulation of the limitations of Lebron, AD, Vogel, Pelinka etc.

This is Lebron not giving a ****. It's happened plenty this season. He had at least 5 unforced turnovers.

How Lakers lose to a team intentionally trying to tank?

It's interesting with the Lakers because it seems like every week this team hits "rock bottom". I thought it was rock bottom after the Denver game where the Nuggets had their best shooting night of the season by a mile. But it's been eclipsed.

Apologies for posting this in the Lakers game thread, but the Kings looked pretty good tonight after a sloppy start.

AD and LeBron were completely gassed tonight after battling the Bucks/Giannis last night... That game might have broken them...

So figure that in to your hot takes about AD and LeBron tonight... They looked terrible... But it's a kind of terrible lakers fans haven't seen this season...
Actually AD had started looking more dominant on both ends of the floor until he left it all on the court trying to keep Giannis from going for 60
