What bust have they had recently other than Bagley?

Papa G the year before Bagley.

Edit: that was 2 years before Bagley. Sorry
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

Your team literally won last year and the Magic have moved down every or stayed the same every draft since Howard (iirc)

I'm emotionally right now, get your facts out of here.

Cool I guess? Unless the person we draft has a Luka like rookie year this team is going nowhere next year anyway.

doesn't matter, the Magic will forever carry the memory of that back to back :)
besides, it's better to stay in place or fall down if every 5-7 years you jump to 1st
better than jumping a bit every year but not getting to 1st\2nd i mean

its been almost 20 yrs since magic got first

Very happy Thunder fan here. Our tanking days might just about be over. SGA deserves to win as much as possible as soon as possible. I just hope and pray we don't take Banchero. I want Chet. But would be just as happy with Jabari.

During this rebuild since the Dwight years. The magic have slide down spots and of course they win the lotto in one of the worst dress in a while

I'm a pistons fan but have to disagree with you. Detroit has been terrible in the lotto outside of Cade last year. Who have we picked that is any good?

2020 - Killian Hayes
2017 - Luke Kennard
2015 - Stanley Johnson
2013 - KCP
2012 - Andre Drummond
2011 - Brandon Knight
2010 - Greg Monroe
2003 - Darko

Along with a bunch of crap at 15: Stuckey, Daye and Sekou. I'd argue that Detroit has been as bad as anyone when it comes to making picks in the lotto.

Did Greg Monroe enter the draft twice?

Banchero is going to be far and away the best player out of this class imo.

Banchero or Holmgren?? If Orlando doesn't take Jabari Smith, we'll take him. #12 is going to be the head scratcher. Does Presti find a diamond in the rough, or just another athletic wing player who can't shoot.

Were any of those top 4 picks outside of Darko?

I don't even know who Victor is to be honest lol. Can't tank every year hoping for a lottery pick and for that pick to pan out. Look what happened to OKC last year. Fell to 6th and got very lucky Giddey was there, after trying their hardest to lose as much as possible.

I'm hopeful he lands in the Bible Belt with the number 2 pick.

Yea that's a great point too! Detroit got the #1 last year and failed to improve at all. They probably should be penalized for that.

I came here to post this basically.

I wish the nba could invoke a rule that hurts your odds the more consecutive times you’re in the lotto and don’t win games. Orlando & Sacramento just don’t currently have good orgs for developing young talent. It’s so wasteful, other teams would make more out of having so many chances.

It's really weird to invoke Orlando to make a case for Detroit being more deserving of a top pick. They've essentially performed the same as Detroit over the last decade.

I'm all for a rule that 1) lowers your chances of a top 3 picks if you had one last year and/or 2) lowers your chances of a top 5 pick if you've had multiple in the last x number of years but really, it's OKC that the rule should target.

Whoever the biggest culprit is… the rule should be implemented. Stock piling draft picks and being horrible is a bad look for the nba brand iMo. It just takes 1 team totally out of the mix.
