Are work place rules different for a head coach and some one you assume to be a low level staffer?

Get that misogynist garbage out of here, I'm just calling out the double standards.

That other person been disciplined too? I think that’s important for public to know

I wonder if it's like the policy some universites have where a teacher can't have a relationship with one of their students. If they do, it's normally the teach who gets in trouble and not so much the student (even though they were both consensualy involved). Without knowing exactly what happened (and exactly who was involved), and what the C's actual policy is, it's hard to know what to think).

You should be suspended for a year for baseless name-calling.

Current estimate of marriage ending in divorce is like 30-35%. It's a lot lower among youth then boomers. People who wait longer, have education divorce at lower rates.

Not taking sides here, but I love how everyone refers to their sources instead of linking them. Chances are the people in this argument are looking at multiple different sources, but by not linking them, we can't get to the root of the disagreement...

Link your sources folks, otherwise this convo will keep going in circles with mysterious sources being mentioned...

Why though, when pretty much EVERY source is unanimous on this. I get what you’re saying, but a simple Google of : “divorce rate 50%”, will LITERALLY yield link after link that debunk the idea that half of all marriages end in divorce. And it’s been that way for years.

The article I’m assuming you’re referencing SAYS IT’S 40% in FIRST MARRIAGES.

You’re getting so stuck on the 50% number — it’s very weird.

4 out of 10 vs 5 out of 10 is still pretty damn high.

Hands off your co-workers, ok? Learn from Ime.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

As a Celtic's fan, I've had my "entertainment" quota filled for the whole year by now. Please no more "entertainment" from the C's camp!!!! Please!!!!

Seems like an overreaction but we don't know the details.

What if there was some 'undue influence' questions going on? Would that make the possible year suspension make more sense for some?

Also find it funny all these folks citing unfair treatment and wanting to 'out' the female. "Females wouldn't get treated the same, blah, blah, blah".

Yeah us dudes are soooo mistreated.

Get over yourselves.

I won't. You should practice more discretion in throwing around accusatory words though. Words matter. I once had a white guy tell me I was racist against Black people ... and I'm Black.

My Black wife and Black kids had a good laugh about that over dinner.

I typed the following in Google:
"what % of marriages end in divorce usa"

First 2 results:
#1 https://www.wf-lawyers.com/divorce-statistics-and-facts/ - "Almost 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce or separation."

#2 https://legaljobs.io/blog/divorce-rate-in-america/ - sources are at bottom: "Many people believe that this figure is around 50%. However, the actual percentage of marriages that end in divorce in the US varies between 40% and 50%"

For what it's worth on the divorce rates, per the CDC it does seem they've been decreasing the past 20 years:

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/dvs/national-marriage-divorce-rates-00-20.pdf

From 4.0 per 1000 in 2000, all the way down to 2.3 per 1000 in 2020.

I just woke up and saw this on undisputed. Can someone help me understand because I don't get it. It doesn't ses like there was no abuse, no manipulation, everything was consensual between adults, etc. If I'm in the Celtics brass idgaf about this. If it's wrong then give him 20 games but the season?

“Consensual relationship” is in Woj’s tweet, but does not appear in Woj’s much longer story…

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34639780/boston-celtics-coach-ime-udoka-facing-potential-disciplinary-action-team-violation-sources-say

I haven’t been watching TV have they been reporting on Woj’s tweet or has anyone brought anything new?

There’s a difference between a rate & a percentage. Example:

In 2021: 12 people ate an apple & 6 enjoyed it.

In 2022: 8 people ate an apple & 4 enjoyed it.

The rate decreased (since less people ate apples), but the percentage stayed the same (since 50% still enjoyed it).

We don't know much about Ime Udoka outside of his job. He seems like a good basketball coach but that's irrelevant to how he behaves during the rest of his life.

Not saying we should pass judgement until facts come out, but a lot of seemingly "good people" have done terrible things. Definitely shouldn't let our perception of a guy cloud what the facts are if he did in fact do something illegal or even break team policy.

Oh gosh, now the NBA is pretending to be the moral authority.

What a joke.

I've met him twice so speaking to my personal opinion of him. If he was separated and broke a team rule, that still doesn't make him a bad guy. Mistakes happen. That's life.
