The NBA has tweeted about other prospects before the draft as well... and starting early on building the hype train for this kid isn't a bad thing.

I don't remember them tweeting about Luka or Zion months before the draft. May be I'm wrong.

They just tweeted about Scoot 14 minutes ago.

Taking this guy over anyone I have ever seen. He could create a one man dynasty.

so seems like houston will have more chances as they are a clear bottom 3 team and they have a swap right Brooklyn who will probably not make the playoffs.

For sure, but I think former poster nailed it, it depends on the era. In the 80s, what would Victor have defended, guy doesnt have old man strength, Sabonis, even skinny Sabonis was pretty strong, he would have been seen as lock down defender in the post. Nowadays, many guards would play Sabonis of the court, even young SAbonis that is. And this is where Victor comes in, Victor is far from being switchable big, but he is still better than Arvydas ever could have been.

I think young Sabonis was quick enough to do well even today, the older one would have much more problems though. It's not like every single big man can be played off the floor. Some centers could and do adjust to that, even though they are not switchable.

It’s hilarious seeing people talking about guess playing guys off the floor like Jokic isn’t an mvp

His footwork is special, and his ability to open his hips and swivel on defense against guards is incredible for someone his size. I get all the hype, if he's healthy he can be as good as he wants to be, there is no limit on his potential.

True, they’re probably the best bet to have the best odds for the #1 atm. Though BKN is still probably only going to add like 2% to that, so they’ll still only have like a 16% shot at it.

A seven foot tall Steph Curry could be a pretty good player.

I think the most impressive thing about Wemby is the fact that two years ago he kinda sucked. I remember watching that video of him going one on one vs. Gobert and not seeing anything inpressive other than length ofc.

Fast forward to those games vs. Scoot suddenly he has got numerous skills and perfectly designed skiils too, designed to make him a real force in the modern NBA specifically

If he made that kind of jump..that's talent, I.Q , commitment and hard work

So now I expect him to improve, even by season's end he will add more

Thats the most impressive aspect to me, sky's the limit for this kid and he might just reach that sky..seeing as he's so tall haha
