It’s amazing to see a 39 year old Lebron still putting on performances like this. His level of play has been stellar

Here are some key reasons why LeBron's career has lasted so long at the top:

- LeBron has always been highly professional and dedicated to his career from the start. It's also a big plus that he's one of the most athletically gifted athletes ever.

- Superstar athletes (like GOAT candidates in their sports) who have built strong brands tend to earn more and gain more social influence as celebrated veterans than when they were rising stars. This gives them a big incentive to keep their careers going as long as they can.

- The biggest leagues of the most popular sports in this century know that big stars draw the most attention and money. They've adjusted their rules to discourage hard or frequent fouls against attacking players, which really helps the top stars stay healthy and prolong their careers.

- Sports medicine and training methods have improved a lot, focusing more on keeping athletes' bodies in good shape for longer. Earlier, the focus was more on quick injury recovery rather than quality recovery.

Just look at the level of tennis that Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Serena Williams reached lately after turning 35, something previously unthinkable. Or consider how long Tom Brady stayed at the top. These examples make LeBron's 2023 level less surprising.

This is peak fiction:

…the Forbes 50 conspired with the NBA to clean up PED use across the entire league just so a 39-year-old could illegally dope up for corporate exploitation…

Throw in China pulling the levers behind this grand scheme and you’ll check all of the boxes.

Imagine being this uneducated about PEDs and then being utterly convinced that this one guy has an unfair advantage with literally zero evidence.

Like you're actually saying with a straight face, that Lebron James takes steroids that are so expensive that other basketball players - a league where an average starter is making 80 million dollars, cannot afford them as well? Have you ever even bought steroids?

Why on earth would the league ONLY protect James from using PEDs and not other stars, ESPECIALLY considering it would be wiser to invest in guys who have more years left in their tank? And why would they not do this for other megastars like Jordan and Bryant? How come Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabar were so good for so long as well if they were not megastars?

The level of insecurity is actually insane. Do people typing this type of stuff actually think that if they tried to pass this off to like someone with a PhD or something, they would be like "ah, this all logically checks out!".

This is the biggest thing. I mean a 40 year old Aaron Rodgers is potentially returning from a torn achilles only a few months after the injury while in the past that was essentially a career ender.

NBA PED policy is a joke for everyone, you don't need to be the face of the league to avod being caught, all you have to do is not be an idiot. And with the current going rate for salaries being over 10 mln. per year even for marginal starters and half-decent 6th men there are numerous players in the league who can easily afford the best PEDs in the world.

I truly appreciate Lebron, to me he’s like the strength and longevity of Karl Malone combined with the awesome all round skills of Scottie Pippen.

Yet if I was asked to select an all time team to play
In a tournament my first selections would be MJ then Bird. There was someone killer about them

I saw two videos after last nights game. One the guy was saying “skip bayless is typing Jordan’s resume into his twitter as we speak” and the other one was “if LeBron wins the IST, haters will say it’s Mickey Mouse ring #2”.

The guy two posts before you is the latter  like clockwork

Excuse incoming, I’m sure. I’ll see myself out.

The pathological haters can't help but expose their lack of bball IQ, borne from a lifetime of watching basketball purely to gossip; and being permanently debilitated from understanding high level schemes and concepts because their basketball brains will never be developed enough to see the sport as anything but a series of 1v1 possessions like baseball

I'm not a Bron hater. He is my favorite player along with Butler. Ya'll are just stanning a little too much. He is definitely giving some effort for the in season tournament, but he'll go back to standing around after the tournament. Also, if you have such a high bball IQ, you should have accomplished something instead of talking to us peons.

Dude it's really simple tbh: if you're gonna make claims like the one you're making, back it up, similar to how "stans" are backing it up.

Lol no Aaron isn't returning. What he is doing is all for show. There is a 0% chance he will return.

To tell the truth tho, that's why NBA players do it. They can recover quicker to practice more. LeBron is a perfect storm. In a league full of super-athletes taking Recovery Enhancing Drugs, LeBron remains an ultimate outlier
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Lebron is a top 3 physical specimen the NBA has ever seen. And considering the mix of size, strength, speed, power of nba athletes most consider them the most athletic. That’s to say he’s basically the pinnacle of human athletic ability.

It does not seem anomalous to me that he can still do it. If he was at 100% of peak athleticism from 18 to 33 he’s probably around 85% now. He hasn’t any major lower body injuries. And lebron at 85% of his peak athleticism is still arguably the most athletic player in the league when all facets of athleticism are viewed together.

The only thing he can’t do is have the same endurance of attack. But the Lakers overall have been better so he’s been able to be more targeted on when he goes all out this year.

It’s amazing.
