He may have been joking but he said he's going for MVP this season. Which he also said means him shooting a whole bunch.MMyhre wrote:Edwards not showing any signs of improving his playmaking this preseason and thus the Wolves offense looks poor. Sure, it's preseason, but you want to start building good habits and start working on your team offense as early as possible to increase the synergy and start the season with better flow. Just weird stuff, I wouldn't allow it as a coach at least, and if his focus is on improving his scoring arsenal, when the playmaking is the big thing lacking, I also think it's the wrong approach to improving his game.

Sigh... well, Jordan did not win MVP the year before his first with 4.6 assists to 3.3 turnovers similar to what Edwards had last year, but won it the year he got 5.9 assists to 3.1 turnovers. He also had 4% less usage and took 3.4 less shots a game, so I guess he forgot to read that part, Jordan also had 35 pts per game on 60.3 ts % with much, much better steals and blocks numbers so... good luck to him!
Idk, I feel like this kid is a bit of the stupid type that isn't getting or listening to the right type of advice. Just odd to see someone who is so scoring oriented and has so much to learn in terms of teamplay and playmaking, go into the two first preseason games and make his first priority and focus to play 1v1 ball against his defender. It just shows that there is something he does not understand about how to really impact basketball games, but likely sees "score points and look cool doing it" as a higher priority on the way... idk I just feel like it's poor coaching to allow that, but hey. Easier for the Thunder to beat them again this year.
I think it shows a bit that as good of a scorer Jordan was, taking smarter shots, playmaking more, and playing more within the flow of his offense increased his effectiveness by 0,41 ts % extra and increased his impact on the game by a lot, 10 wins more next season and one round further in the playoffs losing to the champs. Maybe he is watching 1v1 clips on TikTok to motivate himself for the MVP push instead of thinking a bit deeper.

Never a dull moment in the NBA. Ishbia counter-suing some of his minority owners. Will be interesting to see how that case turns out in Phoenix.

Getting roasted in the comments as expected. The NBA is ran by toddlers. It could be so much more popular then it is, but they can't figure it out, and by figure it out, I mean use common sense.bisme37 wrote:
What amazes me, is that the NBA, could be in complete control of their money, and product,(think subscription model)but still operate like its 1999.

Trey Lyles finding his groove in Madrid. Started a bit slow, but last 3 games super strong. I am just thinking, with Murray out, Kings could have used him I bet.

Jaden Ivey knee injury is a huge setback for him and Cade's MVP chances. Don't see the Pistons offering him an extension now. He's gonna have to earn it.
