That's just wrong. Listen, you can be mad or upset about a signing but at the end of the day, these aren't action figures or trading cards. These are real people who go out and play the game of basketball for us so we can have a favorite sport and have something to (in my case) build our lives around. Wishing injury on another player from any team is just inappropriate and immature. Grow up or stop posting. It just sickens me when anyone wishes an injury to an athlete or anybody for that matter.

Injuries are part of the game. If I was making millions of dollars to play basketball I couldn't care less what someone wanted to happen to me.

Yes, injuries are part of the game. WISHING someone to be injured however, is not. You're telling me that if your son our daughter became an athlete of any kind, you wouldn't be pissed someone wished injury on to them? Or if they were already injured, an "even worse" injury? I don't care how much money an athlete makes, and they can very well get hurt during the season, but wishing injury onto anyone is just in my opinion inappropriate and immature.

Well then tell the Orlando fans to stop being dicks. They can't expect any less with the way they're acting like jackasses.

Can you trade a player after matching an offer sheet? Or is there a 30 day/6 month rule or something.

Congrats Branduil on becoming the most ignorant, classless, subhuman poster on the board, and it only took you one thread!

Can't be traded at all before Dec. 15th like any other FA signing. Can't be traded for a year without his consent. Can't be traded to Dallas for a year under any circumstances(meaning even if he gets traded from Orlando to a 3rd team, that 3rd team still can't trade him to Dallas).

Listen, I'm not going to tell the 5 magic fans who are being "dicks" anything. People are reacting their own way. Every team's fan base has their few ignorant posters and such so you are just going to have to deal with that on your own. I've been over to the Magic board and they have a lot of posters there who I respect. You can't blame them as a whole for one or two magic fans who are embarrassing them.

Please point out a Magic fan being a dick, because I can point out a couple Mavs fans. Most Mav fans are being respectful, take notice.

Same as signing any other free agent, 3 months or Dec 15th, whichever is later. So Dec 15th in this case...

That stinks for Dallas. Not like he was a great player but was a major need for them. Dampier is garbage. What the heck is Orlando thinking. Why pay so much for a back up Center. Howard is only going to have an even better year needed more mins. Not like they can play both of them on the floor at the same time and be effective. Does provide them with good depth. Watch out for Orlando in the East.

I find it hard to believe someone is having a meltdown over a team resigning their own RFA.

Congrats to the Magic fans. And I feel bad for Gortat who was disappointed when he thought they might match because he just wanted to come to situation where he could start for a very good team. Now he gets to sit on the bench for 36 minutes a game. I am sure he is very happy about that.

LOL...considering the list over 30+ year old long term signings they made this off season combined with their current roster, I don't think they are planning on rebuilding for at least 3 years.

It seems like this type of stuff always happens to the Mavs.. Nash signs w/ Phoenix, Michael Redd signs w/ MIL...Rashard signs with ORL....we lose to the Heat after being up 2, Deavan George blocks the Kidd Trade, LA gets Gasol for nothing, We lose in first round to GSW, Dirk gets screwed by his fiance.. I don't feel like this type of stuff happens to other teams...
