Re: Eastern Conference | Round 1 | (4) Philadelphia 76ers vs. (5) Toronto Raptors
Do or die situation for the Raptors. Pray the sixers to miss some of the open 3s out of the double teams, some home cooking in their favour for a change, better games from FVV, Siakam and OG in front of their fans, win a game and make them doubt themselves.
The Sixers just need to win 1 game in Toronto and come back to finish the series. The Raptors in the end were a great match up for them since they are in reality good practice for the upcoming Miami Heat who are playing the same type of basketball but with way better personel.

Almost every Raptor fan said this was our best matchup and we could maybe push Philly. But this was a found money playoff appearance for us and the expectations were low...
I mean your two best players FVV/Siakam are 28 and had a horrible game. Not sure where the Raptors are going from here, they need top end talent.
We're one of the youngest teams in the league and just drafted a guy with superstar potential.
I think 'where we go from here' is just continuing to win and add pieces. Eventually strike for the 'right' piece like Kawhi at the right itme.

It was really weird. You could just as easily say an opposing coach shouldn't talk to a player. I don't think I've ever seen a Convo like that during a game that was arguing a call with a ref.

Eh, I've seen players talking trash to coaches before. But yeah it was definitely a unique occurrence. I just don't think theres any rule that you can't talk to the coach.

Mental games. Come back to Philly with a 3-1 on your back and a sinister smile. They will **** themselves.

Maxey with 9 rebounds and 8 assists (and only 1 TO) to go with his 23 tonight. Right now, it is pretty clear that he is the Sixers 2nd best player.
I think - if Nurse didn't try to do it already - that the Raptors need to treat Maxey the same way they treat Embiid, and see if Harden can beat them. I think that is the Sixers weak link.

Nurse again complaining about refs post game; feels like he read one of Phil's books and now fancies himself able to do the jedi mind trick with the refs just like the Zen Master used to.

Neither fan base has a blank check to just complain about calls or flops without the other fan base responding to it.
You are able to respond without being a complete child. I assume
And Raptors fans are able to participate in a thread discussing a game without the majority of posts bitching about the refs or whining about the Sixers flopping.
Right?
I would like to think so? It seems to be what I'm doing and a bunch of others so why exactly are you bring this up with me? You picked the wrong person to try and make a point with. Im here to talk about the game so I suggest you move along.

It really is pathetic. Tiring. Ridiculous.
Have some class, Nick, and take the L like a man.

What coach hasn't tried that before? lol. The league has become a mess of either players or coaches talking about the refs after a game doesn't go their way. I really wish we could just get to a point where they play and don't complain so much. The whole league, not talking about raptors or philly.

If you are not one of the incessant Raptors whiners in the thread, I apologize. I didn't mean to catch you with a stray.

Curious, did it just become tiring and pathetic now that its Nick Nurse or wasn't it also pathetic when other teams do it?
