Jaren has no game but Chet doesn't have much right now. He's got to pick up more moves this summer. He couldn't beat Lively 1 on 1. You can't be a unicorn and not beat a middling PF.

LMAO true.

What’s with the OKC hate Grey? Is it a Wemby/Chet thing?

Why would I hate OKC with Chet when we have Wemby?

I just don't like the fouls posing as 'physicality' and loathe the O push off non calls.

I will admit that those SGA/Chet what a pro wants commercials have soured me on them. But that's got nothing to do with the on court play.

Man this how Luka needs to learn how to play-

His running and gunning and not passing has a ceiling that’s the same as Harden’s -

If Luka learns how to depend on his team and win scoring 21 the Mavs are more dangerous- cause if he needs 40 he can get it but win with 21 and get 40 when needed.

Luka shooting 30 times a game is less scary than Luka picking you apart like jokic but knowing if he needs it he can give you 15 in a quarter lol

Yeah fair point but he's been basically a veteran his whole life, he knows how to win :D

The thing is, a healthy Doncic would be able to do so much more, including playing better defense. You can see how frustrated he is because of that. I mean, we all know if you're injured and your movement is severly impaired, there is only so much you can do. It's also harder for him to drive and destroy the defenses because it's harder to do anything related to running. I think we can both agree to that?

It really sucks that Doncic is so banged up. With a healthy, "normal" playoff Luka, this team might have been a legit contender.

I think what's he's maybe saying, albeit hyperbolically, is that SGA is like Tatum. Obviously a #1 but not "HIM" like other superstars. Not someone who can carry a team to a title like guys like Steph, Lebron, Kawhi, Giannis, and Jokic. And I think he's right.
Recency bias though.....we can do this with every star every year who doesn't win a chip

Let's not do this all of a sudden and diminish someone's work by one playoff game.

And those other guys mentioned have vets, he's on the 2nd youngest team in the league. This is unheard of that they are even in the playoffs, let got the #1 seed

SGA roster is much worse than Dallas- okc avg 23 years old - that means OKC is essentially closer in age of Lively than the 28 year old Mavs lol

A lot of it isn't necessarily flopping, just a soft whistle. He got two calls in the 4th where nothing happened. Like the defender is straight up, arms up, moving laterally and Shai got a whistle. Minimal contact and not even a head whip by SGA, just a big ole nothingburger and he got a call. That is the stuff that has me confused.

Thats called manufacturing a superstar. He is a star without it but those fouls calls help elevate.

how they rig games. If they called all the fouls on Dort he deserved while defending Luka and Kyrie he would have fouled out in the first half and OKC would have gotten rolled. This is how they keep games close. They'll take the opposite approach to either keep the game close or for the Mavs to win later in this series by having a quicker whistle on him.

He’s NOTHING like Tatum. SGA is a HISTORIC driver, finisher, has absurd efficiency and league leading game to game scoring consistency. He almost never has a bad game. Tatum is like a Rich Man’s PG where he will have a 50 point game followed by a 12 point 5-18 type game.

He is 25 and his team was in the play in last year. Was Jordan ready to “carry to a title” by 25? No. He’s perfectly rated now which is a top 5 player who is still young, and has one of the most complete offensive games in basketball.

He is INSANELY competitive in the Mamba mold. He works harder than anyone in the league arguably (tons of teammates and coaches have compared it to Kobe or Jordan), and it’s evident by the improvement curve he’s had. I wouldn’t doubt or count him out. Give him time to define his own legacy.
“This kid reminds me of a 6-6 Chris Paul. He wants to win everything.”

Larger players just won’t get the same calls as skinnier players. I know he looks at the slight bumps that Shai gets and get the call and it enrages him.

Agree, unfortunately the bigger/stronger players get different treatment than their skinnier compatriots...it's the same in football or soccer as you call it in America... I've also noticed that those Players that are known to be great defenders get away with a lot more physical play than others(Lu Dort, Brooks, Draymond...)

OKC needs to blow it up, trade everybody, not a single salvagable part on this team. Shai is a fraud, Dort is a criminal who should be in prison for assault, Chet is overrated and weak.

Am I doing this right? :D

Hysterics aside, good game Mavs fans. Came down to the last 1-2 possessions and ya'll hit just a shot or two more than OKC did to win it. Another banger by PJ Washington too, he was clearly a good pickup. For him to be your leading scorer in two straight wins is pure found money. Game 4 is desperation time for OKC. See ya'll Monday!

The Shai whistle is really getting ridiculous. I see bodies flying and physical play everywhere and he gets ft's on the slightest bumps

While you only represent yourself when you post, you still rock the Mavs logo and you kind of will be associated with the extended Mavs fanbase... so avoid that sort of thing. :noway:

As a fellow member of House Mavs: Apz just had a terrible moment. We don't wish any injuries on anyone, except Rajon Rondo. And I was happy to see Williams back in the game and looking healthy.
