That's what Dame is saying, doesn't mean after yet another extremely disappointing season with a roster that isn't even remotely close to contending but actually is now primarily made up of young players -- that POR as a franchise will want to continue down that path.

I fully expect there to be a "mutual agreement" to part this ways this summer when management sits down with him to discuss that they just think they're just too far off to realistically create a championship caliber team. Because short of PHI being willing to ironically trade them Embiid, there is no player they can obtain right now that's going to put them in championship contention and I don't see the most overrated GM of all time, Darryl Morey admitting defeat.
