All in all, Dwight is not that bad when you put it in that perspective

Dwight doesn't have greatest of all time potential, so when Dwight does something really stupid, he isn't as hated as much.

LeBron is so great, that any little thing will be inflated irrationally because of how important he is. If he didn't matter, they wouldn't hate.

@TheRebel

While I appreciate your reply, my point in general is that - people always ask for a source or a link when information comes from people they don't like. I mentioned "doing research" so that those same people would be able to come up with the same info YOU provided, instead of seeing a certain reporter name and automatically dismissing it if they don't like that reporter.

People are attacking the messenger without considering the message. ESPN has this guy name all over breaking news report, I am sure he has some credibility. All posts on a sports board DOES NOT automatically have to be backed up with a link to a source. is what I am/was saying...

REPORTED BY THE SAME GUY

Source: Howard Nixes Magic’s Return Plea
By HOOPSWORLD
(Rob) Hennigan, the source said, based his plea on the fact that he was new to the organization and had not been party to the issues that drove (Dwight) Howard to make his trade request.

Team president Alex Martins, who also was on the call, the source said, made a similar plea to Howard last winter when Martins took control of basketball decisions over GM Otis Smith and coach Stan Van Gundy.

Howard was not willing to change his stance, the source said.

“I already heard that from the other guy on the phone,” said Howard, according to the source.

WD - If he changes his mind, it's still a reliable source - IMO

Maybe he should get his head checked while he's at it.

So he was so terrified of having to spend three months on a bad team, after which he'd have been free to go to anyone who could afford him, that he signed a contract to play another year for a team he obviously despises? Either Dwight's an idiot, his agent is, or they both are.

The onus is on Dwight. Yes he was scared to be sent to a crummy team to rot. And you have to remember that there was a huge cluster f*** of differing opinions on the matter.

One of them was that his agent didn't have Dwight's best interests at the fore and that his motivation was to make big money off a big market deal along with the plethora of endorsements. His agent had to walk a thin line and not be too vocal else Dwight gets rid of him.

By the end of that fiasco Dwight made out like a hero, which he wanted (to protect his image). But by sitting out from injury he's realized his team is junk and he values winning.

He's making even Kobe Bryant seem like a pleasant, unselfish, ego-less, young gentleman.
