Beverley 1-10, 5 fouls, 3 pts.
Lin 5-8, 16 pts, 2 steals, 2 blocks.

Rockets lose to the Lakers. Lin gets yelled at by players and assistant coaches after the game.

As I've predicted, McHale is forcing an unfortunate and unnecessary situation, it's going to get more awkward as this season progresses.

The funny thing is McHale not only started and finished with Beverley, but also gave the PG who played worse on both offense and defense more minutes in that game than the PG who played better.

You think McHale was the coach? No, Harden was the real coach and he liked Beverley.

It is also Lin's fault. He did not pass the ball to Harden enough. Team ball sucks.

The game was not lost on that last play everyone contributed to that L.
It will take time which they have plenty of to get the Asik/Dwight thing to work.

Considering that the Rockets got off to a horrible start and had to play catch-up all game plus the fact that Beverley went 1-10......Yeah I'd say starting Lin would have offset the 1 point differential.

Lin - 64th - 0.79 PPP - 33.3 FG% (16/48)
Beverley - 182nd - 1.26 PPP - 55.2 FG% (16/29)

As I said before, aggressive ball pressure D is fool's gold.

I wasn't impressed with Beverley's defense against the Lakers at all. He put a lot of pressure on the ball, sure. But his overall defensive awareness was awful, and he would get lost every time the Lakers ran the pick and roll at him. It wasn't just mediocre defense, it was bad.
