Luka with 28.5/ 10.7/ 9.1 with .609 TS%/ .254 WS48/ 11.4 BPM at the age of 20 is looking like future of the NBA.
He have offensive PIPM only lower than Harden, Lebron and Giannis.

I can't wait to see what this kid would do at the age of 25-27.

Funny thing is LeBron averaged 40 minutes per game to get almost same numbers as Luka who averaged only 32 minutes. On the other hand Bron was obviously MUCH better on defense from the start.

LeBron had negative DBPM as rookie . I know DBPM is not very good stat, but I believe we can easily say that LeBron wasn't very good in D. as a rookie. Like someone mentioned before, LeBron wasn't that impressive as a rookie. He played a lot, but efficiency was very bad.

Lebron was incredibly impressive as a rookie. Effective? Eh not as much, but impressive as hell. But anyone unimpressed by rookie Lebron has too high of standards. Not everyone can walk in the league an MVP candidate and really teh only guy of the last 25 years to do so was Tim Duncan and he's almost certainly going to be the last one since nobody else is going to stay in school like that.

But it was clear the hype Lebron came in with was warranted and it was obvious that first year that this was going to become his league and sooner rather than later.

He was very good of course, but people mostly believe he was far the best rookie in last 17 years, but when you look his stats a little bit closer, I doubt very much that he was really the best rookie since 2003. Maybe better description is, he was the rookie with the highest ceiling.

Charles Barkley called Euroleague s**t, because if 18 yar old is MVP, the league must be s**t. I tried to downplay the expectations, but I am glad Doncic surpassed even those type of takes, and yeah, Charles, F U.

The question now is, who was the last rookie to have as good as a second yr as him?

I think u need to go very far back in time to find your answer...

I believe we should wait a bit before we rank this season. Because numbers he has, look unbelievable and maybe unsustainable. On the other hand, the best part of these numbers is his 3 pts %, I believe he will be much better there in few years time, a room for big improvement is still there.

Doncic is so freakin good, I still can’t believe that 3 NBA teams could have had him at the draft and they all said, Nah, I’ll pass.

Sometimes the obvious isn’t that obvious to some people.

You are right for sure that they look unsustainable. However, right now he is actually the system of his team offensively, like LeBron has been for all these years. If this keeps up, also his numbers can, assuming his conditioning has improved.

Even if he drops 2-3 points and a couple rebs/assists, he's still a monster. He has also a stratospherical bbiq and knows where he needs to put the work in: just his 2nd year and he basically cut all midrange shots, finishes at the rim at an elite level and improved ft dramatically. He is also not bad at defense. Not good, but not really a negative either.

It is difficult not to love him, honestly.

That +/- man, a real shame how such a talent is going to be out of the league cause of such a big red flag. We have a 4th division team here in my city in Italy, I am sure we are stupid enough to let him play 5-10 mins a game...

Lucky for the Mavs, they have Delon Wright, whose impact rivals that of Doncic so he can take over for him. So no problem, easy trade, just give us some hot Italian ladies and we are set!
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

I have some good news, Bradley Beal is double negative too. D'Angelo Russell is double digits, double negative. DeMar DeRozan the same. And many more in SI top 60. It looks to me that teammates have something to do with that stat after all.

Luka should be averaging a triple-double. He's second only to LeBron in potential assists. Man, imagine how good Luka will be if ever gets actual shooters around him.

Right now it looks like Luka has the same situation, like Lebron had in Cleveland years ago.
Both are superstars on their teams with only decent players around them and need better help.
The only difference is: Luka is the next superstar! Lebron is already a superstar.

Ahahahaha...I am sure that poor D Wright will keep his numbers the same with the same coverage of Doncic, while him and you my friend will be even happier being covered by our ladies 8-)
