if someone would play defense on me like lebron did on simmons, i might be able to hit a few 3 pointers. in the gym, nba 3 point range and beyond isn't a problem for me. everything else: no chance. zero. i'm too old, slow, non-athletic. even let's say 15, 16 yers ago, when i physically peaked (i'm like 6"1, 6"2 ish and could dunk realtively easy), i don't think i could stand any chance in a serious nba game.

realistically, if i was given the opportunity to prepare myself full time for one year (24/7 nothing but basketball and gym in an nba environment and with nba coaches) and if i was like 21 or 22 years old, i might be able to score.

This thread reminds me of that video where a college basketball player went up 1 on 1 with Brian scalebrene and thought he would destroy him cause he had a good size and played in college. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out he got completely owned by a nba bench warmer.

Not a single person on here would score period. Doesn’t matter if you’re 6 4 or whatever. You will not score. Even if you think you’re wide open and go for a shot an nba player will be right up on you in a split second and swat or contest that ****. This is giving the benefit of the doubt that they don’t steal the ball from you the second you touch it.

There is a reason these people are paid millions. Don’t be fooled cause they don’t look that unstoppable when playing other nba players. It’s not your local ymca basketball

Well - depends if anyone here played high level NCAA ball. If they did (and are still young) they could probably wreck WNBA players.

True Story - I played volleyball at a big ten school. We didn't have varsity men's in the big ten (other than PSU) so it was club. Still pretty good as the pool of athlete talent from 30,000 kids is decent. Our women's varsity team was top 10 or 20 my freshman year. We would scrimmage them sometimes to help them practice against higher level competition.

We destroyed them horribly every single game... to the point where they had us stop hitting so hard.

Once again, I’m not saying that I’d walk on the court & start crossing up, blowing by & finishing over people. I could definitely find several openings during a game to get a basket or two. It’s still basketball at the end of the day. If I got 15-25 shot attempts, I doubt I’m gonna miss all of them simply because I know how to shoot a ball.

I realize these guys are RIDICULOUSLY good & I’d get destroyed defensively. I never argued that.

I’d score atleast 10 points. I’m a decent ball-handler, great off the ball, good shooter, good touch, physically strong & very fast in transition.

I could get some openings here or there throughout a 48 minute game.

I’d get destroyed on defense though. Only about 5’11 but still 200lbs at 23 yrs old. Still in my athletic prime.

Some of saying you couldn’t get ONE backdoor cut, a fast break layup or hit an open 3 are actually pretty sad tbh.

You'd be the smallest person on the court almost every time you step foot on the floor, at 5'11 200lbs you'd look like Kemba Walker on the floor except you don't have a world class handle, jumpshot or elite quickness.

At your size you'd be at PG, where the average player is around 6'3, with some outliers being 6'6, good luck scoring on the bigger guards. Why don't you just go play overseas?

In a real basketball game if you have no offensive game you're not getting the ball from your teammates - and if you do you're only getting the ball in a spot you are incapable of scoring from because of defense - that's how it works against nba caliber players, some guy who works out 5 days a week thinks teams will let him get a wide open layup, lmaoooo

Many people (maybe many women) are completely unaware of the athletic gap between the sexes. The average male is about ten percent more athletic than the average female.
That might not sound a lot to many people, but it's a huge gap.
Some years ago my old high school bb team had a horrible season. They had a few decent players, but they were horribly coached.
At the same time the girl's team (which I also watched play several times) was real good and almost won the state tourney.
Some people at work actually thought the girl's team could beat the boys. I had a tough time explaining to them that the boys would severely whip the girls in a game. They didn't believe me. The boys had a 6'6 kid who rarely played but would block a lot of shots when he did play. (The coach played a much shorter kid at center who averaged two points and one rebound a game because the kid didn't make mistakes.) The tallest girl was about 6'1 and not real athletic.
The slowest boy who got playing time was decidedly taller, faster, quicker, stronger than any of the girls. It would have been a slaughter.
Unfortunately, some idiots believe that with a little more weight training girls can compete with boys in sports where strength, speed,stamina, quickness are paramount. They can't.
