Poor Cavs fans can't even get excited and optimistic in the preseason like the other 29 teams

Lamelo Ball and Josh Giddey are actually long lost brothers. Should have known it’s easier to score in the NBA.

It’s like the two doubled down on different tangible stats. Half the time they are carbon copies of each other.

It was my mistake comparing Giddey to Ball. But both are fantastic in their own right.

Giddey- Most ceberal (both their reading and understanding of the game is high high tier) composed in the class. That’s the biggest thing that stood out in NBL and separates him from Ball.

Ball - Better athlete, flashed higher max games, better scoring/defending capacity, hence more special to me.

Anyway Giddy 4 Giddey.

(Aussie here) I had more concerns with Giddey than I had with Ball. But both were excellent prospects holistically.

Very similar if not the same concerns going in just that Giddey just more. I actually didn’t mind Ball’s defense back then. Ball brothers are very innate and active. Whereas Giddey struggled a lot. Both have a knack of getting rebounds and it’s not due to height moreso awareness/positional IQ gains them an extra rebound or so. Some 6”8” guys are poor rebounders.

I don’t have Giddey grading out as a positive defender but I do with Ball.

(I gotta to stop comparing the two lol but gee whiz they play exactly alike half the time).

I’d say slower wing types is the best bet for Giddey to guard appropriately.

disappointing considering how rough of a season he had last year. Really starting to question his hunger and if he's just satisfied where he is. Got his money, his city, his championship and now he's just going through the motions

Cade is "injured". Pistons don't want to risk anything for their highest pick in 50 years. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play in the preseason at all, or in very limited minutes.
