Pretty obvious foul there even if it was before the shot... oh well, Slovenia didn't deserve this one.

And that's awesome. That's how any team can win it, which makes the tournaments exciting.

Serbia, Slovenia, and Greece all eliminated.

Greece lost to a superior team. Serbia and Slovenia flat-out choked.

Jokic played extremely well in the loss to Italy. Giannis played well against Germany. Luka played poorly against Poland.

I am loving this. What a game by Poland, from massive lead to almost lose it all but in the end still being able to pull it through. Great win for them as underdogs tonight. 8-)

Game was long enough. Slo recovered historically and then Pol recovered in the end aswell, they were the better team if considered everyone that was playing. Slo missed Zoran in fast breaks. Random is if someone makes random shot at the end of time and barely wins.

Congrats Poland on a well deserved win. Hopefully it will be a good lesson of humility for some slovenian players (and not just) but i am not beting on it.

Also, as an aside, Luka did not look in shape. He looked like he again gained back the 20 lbs he purportedly lost.

What a bad take. That's like saying that European Football leagues are a joke because Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have never won a World Cup. Sheesh.

I swear that FIBA announcer Jeff Taylor...he's been announcing FIBA tournaments and EuroLeague / EuroCup / FIBA Champions League for years and years. And he still makes these ridiculous statements. He was acting like Poland beating Slovenia was like USA beating USSR with hockey with college players or something.

I mean come on, Slovenia has like two good players on the team, and one of them, Tobey is just an average level player for EuroLeague.

Poland is a pretty crap team itself, it's like a top 12-15 European team, but come on, making it out to be some huge upset. Like what the hell, Slovenia's roster is weak as hell.

It's amazing how weak the EuroBasket has gotten. Slovenia was easily the weakest EuroBasket champion is decades and decades, and now teams like Poland and current Spain are in the semis, and both of their rosters are so weak.

Go back to those like 2000s and early 2010s era European teams like Lithuania, FR Yugoslavia, Greece, Spain, any of those teams would crush these teams like Poland and Slovenia. Just absolutely crush them. Now we have teams like this fighting for medal rounds. It's unbelievable how the level of the higher end teams has fallen.

Should be concerning for the Mavs. Training camp starts in a few weeks and Luka looks heavy and is going to be burnt out heading into training camp. I won't be surprised if added a another 10-20 lbs in that period.

FIBA rules are so arbitrary, nobody even knows what basketball is anymore. Most of the times in this Eurobasket, they reviewed these type of fouls made to prevent a shot attempt as intentional. From one extreme to the other.

It's awesome for us the fans but it doesn't mean as much in the end because it's based a lot in luck and randomness.

In the end of the NBA season you have a clear image of who is the best player of the regular season, who is the best player in the league and which team was the best team of the year.

In the end of the eurobasket you still have no idea. Random things in 4 important random games against random teams.

But there is no time for series in the Summer. We are lucky we even have that much anyway.
